do you play or watch any sports? If you watch, who are your teams? I play basketball on my school team, and football(american) casually. I like to watch the rockets, the texans (only when its a decent matchup...we suck at football), and UT football and basketball. stealth wrote:My favorite quote from that entire thing: "..Battles based on battles that actually occurred in Japanese history.. I play lacrosse, and basketball
I watch some basketball, more so going out to the courts and watching the brothers battle it out. And as for lacrosse I would watch it more but the Finals are all that they show, and for the past few years they have been local so I realy never watch em. And I also owatch football. My favorite teams are the Eagles, and the Giants cus there lack of skills make the eagles look "ok".

Use to play four years of high school tennis. Never played organized baseball but still love it to death. I'm a huge Angels' fan, I have been since I was ten.

you kayak? i did the first safety cert thingy a while ago, and was working towards the second. Funny story, was trying to get rolling down, and when i was having a hard time getting up from it once. a more inexperienced friend thought i was having difficulty when in reality i was just lining myself up for another attempt. anyway he rushes straight over and places his kayak practically on top of mine, and i didn't know what was going on as i had risin a lot of mud with my paddle (shallowish waters). I couldn't even get up, and even when i tried the good old T i was still being pushed down because he was on top of me. i was fairly shitting myself under there... i was being forced down now matter how much strength i put into getting up. wierd feeling, even though i know you could just get out the wet way... then that day i found out that a neighbours brother had died in a kayaking accident a while back. kinda lost my enthusiasm since. yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.

Not too much this time of year, but i do during the summer. I live near a city with class 5 whitewater, so everything is fairly nearby. Here's a little rolling story: I was only 12 or 13 and i had just gone over the basics of rolling a week or so prior to that. Anyway, me and a small group of others had just come out of these kinda rough rapids and we were approaching a small (4 foot) waterfall over a pipe. I was the first to go, and I flipped instantly. Now i was sitting there, underwater, obscured from the others' view by that pipe, and i was trying like crazy to roll it, but it felt like my paddle was just flailing around in air. I heard a thud, and someone had landed on me. Panic set it, so i decided to yank my skirt and just get the hell out of there. I drifted and climbed up onto a rock, watching my kayak and supplies get carried downstream. Every year there'll be something on the news around here about some dipshit trying to paddle in the river after a heavy rain or something, and they end up getting stranded or killed, but most of the time i'm smarter than that. i used to play soccer competitively when i was younger and quit when i started college. i also played organized baseball until i was 9, then i realized baseball was too slow and thats when i started playing soccer all year.
i played hockey when i was young and had pick-up games on weekends and at night.
i have been a sharks fan ever since they came to the bay area in the early nineties. i watch soccer when it is televised and i had season tickets to the san jose clash for their first few seasons. even though they changed names to the earthquakes, then moved to texas and changed names again, they are still my team (dynamo). they are the only team that i root for that aren't the local team. oh well, they used to be and i'm still sticking with them. good thing too because they won the cup last season.
i don't really watch baseball or (american) football because those games just take forever. but i still check scores to see if the 49ers and the Giants win or not. i root for them but i don't sit down to watch their games.
