Just got back from the X3 premire. It's 2:32 am.

If you don't want X3 to be MAJORLY spoiled, DO NOT read this.

Reason why X3 was awesome

#1: Freaking great action.

#2: You think you know where the show is headed, YOU'RE WRONG. Keeps you guessing.

#3: Gradutitious fan service (case in point, the Juggernaught ACTUALLY SAYS THAT LINE)

Reasons why it sucked

#1
: The Professor DIES!?!? WTF!?!?! Jean Grey (as Phoenix) makes Prof. X *not even kidding here* EXPLODE INTO A MILLION PIECES! What the hell is that?!?

#2: Scott dies! In the beginning no less!

I was expecting both of these characters to come back somehow.... they don't. They're dead.

#3: Jean Grey DIES! Wth Prof. X, Cyclops and Jean all dead, there is NO chance of a X-Men sequel that will be true to the spirit. Not that this one was.

#4: The story is actually resolved. This is X-Men! Nothing is ever resolved! Humans always fear Mutants and so forth! Not anymore, it's all kum-bye-ya now with The Beast as the US representitive to the world. What the fetch?

I'm still torn about this one. I liked it, liked it a lot, but it betrayed so much of what I thought I knew about X-men. I still can't get over Prof. X exploding. I think I'm gonna go cry myself to sleep.

-quart out

Edit: Oh yeah, I'm not sure if this was good or bad, but Wolverine gets the crap kicked out of him by the Juggernaught. I mean, he doesn't even get a claw on him.

okay, just realized something. they talk about the ethics of transfering a conciousness to a body that no longer has a mind... and the end of the show foreshadows that the "cure" may not be permanent. Xavier might still be alive... they may be pulling off a "Spock."

Xavier is alive, I'll put money on it. Scott... maybe not. Jean, probably is alive too. How many times has she died in the comic books? Oh they're crafty alright...

And i just heard that there was something after the credits... and I probably missed it. Crap. If someone knows what it is, please post it for me.

Oh crap! In that last scene, Magneto is playing chess against someone not seen... dude, Xavier has to be alive.

I really didnt like it that much, it wasnt horrible, but it wasnt great. I really hate the whole aspect of just dieing. There was no long deaths for anyway, they just died. Scott, BAM dead, Xavier, bam dead, Phoenix BAM dead. I mean sure tehre was that mind battle with xavier, but there wasnt any major action with fighting and everything.

Also, I thought phoenix used fire? not just exploding shit with her mind

Oh yeah, I saw the preview for Ghostrider... it's Nicholas Cage. I don't even know Ghostrider that well, but Nicholas Cage? They can do better than that.

Well I just got back from seeing it, and though the action and visuals were pretty nifty, it wasn't enough to make the movie. I wasn't sure about the end, if it was Magneto who made the chess piece move, or like you said, someone invisible. The ending was way too abrupt, they didn't have to flash Ratner's name up the second something else cool happens. :\

So what ev, the movie itself was pretty tight, Xavier and Scott were like ZMOG WTF and I enjoyed it. It was kind of stupid the whole happy ending thing, but meh.

I'M THE JUGGERNAUT, BITCH!

EDIT: The superman trailer was teh sechs by the way.

So my friends invited me to go last night, so yes, i saw it twice in less than 24 hours... but anyway this time I stayed after the credits, and here's what really happened:

You know that case study Xavier shows the kids? Well it shows that hospital room and the doctor is looking at the monitors when you hear Charles' voice say, "Merna?" (or whatever the doc's name is) and she turns to look at the patient and goes "Charles? But how?" Then it cuts to black.

Charles Xavier is ALIVE.

X4, here we come.

So i'd take that to mean that Magneto really does move the chess piece by himself.

If you stayed until AFTER THE CREDITS, then you would KNOW that Professor X is alive.

And "the cure" is only a temporary thing anyway.  It wears off... the homosapiens just didn't know that.

from what i have read in box office magazine, this was the last x-men movie.  the movies are getting too expensive to out due the previous and that was their reasoning.  i think the clip at the end of the credits was just a teaser.

my 2 favorite lines from the show:

"Grow those back"

"You know who i am? I'm the Juggernaught Bitch!!!"  i can't believe he said this, lol

ok I just got back from watching x-men 3 and first off i want to punch quart in his overies now for posting about the x-men movie. It was a good movie, i think it would have been better for me if i didnt read his post because i was expecting everything to happen. But what i noticed is that they didnt show Scott getting blown up. Second when wolverine killed jean it looked to be the Phonix when he stabbed her, i dont know if that could bring anything into the next one in how they could bring her back also. and at the end when prof x came back wasnt he saying its unethical to put someone in that body that didnt have a conciouse? the movie was great though but im hopeing they keep the movies going on and going on. does anyone know the story from the comic books? like if any of this really happened? i used to collect the comics but was to scared to read them because i didnt want to break their backs and lose the value. anyways what happens? and how far away is this from the onslaught. ohh yeah i didnt like it how mystique, rogue, and magneto supposivly lost their powers.

I really liked the movie but it left me a bit unsatisfied. The plot is cool but I want to see more mutant powers!. When I was a kid, I used to watch the animated series of X-Men (did anyone else watch it?) which had a ton of backstories about the characters but this movie does not. I would of liked it better if they would of gone into more detail about the characters, thier powers, and the kid who disables mutant powers (that actually was a pretty cool idea). I would of liked it better if the movie held more true to the animated series and the comic books, I could count several occasions where they got at least one thing wrong about some characters. There is bound to be another sequal. The scene where Magneto is playing chess as he attempts to move one of the pieces with his powers but then the movie ends, that to me is like a "The End....?" kind of thing.  And besides, you know they're going to make another movie by the simple fact that they left out one very popular character, which I think they are saving for the forth movie, does anybody care to guess who? I didn't see the part after the credits, I really wish I stayed around to see it though. Who the hell puts a part like that after the credits anyway, no one stays around for the credits! The action was amazing but it just wasn't enough for me. All around the movie was good but as they say in Hollywood, not great.

P.S The language of the film I find a litlle objectionable. There were several occasions where someone said "bitch" to two little girls, I just didn't find that right. And did anybody else freak out when they saw who was playing Beast, it was Kelsey Grammar! It was pretty funny seeing him like that..
