I always see the crypt empty. yes "GO JOIN it AND sIT @@@' i do that, and it works, but the server only stays partly full for like 30 minutes.

i suggest a change be made to the crypt:

• unmodded all the way

NOw, with this change, it will be a drastic one to say the least. I say it should be given a chance. you see servers like the playhouse and the dogghouse full all the time, while those are UNMODDED. unmodded can be successful too, its just if you let it have a chance.

Personally, i would like to see the crypt go unmodded...maybe just call it a "trial period." there will be many bonuses to having unmodded here:

• it will improve your skills! you dont want to be like a fish out of water when it comes to unmodded!
• you won't have xbow noobs 1 shotting you from camping areas!
• you can improve on the real way of bhopping, I will even teach everyone who wants to know!
• UNMODDED IS FUN, if it wasn't, i wouldn't be posting this!

my second option is to open a small server, DM style. maybe a max of 10 player slots. it can be unmodded and have DM maps availible to play. We can either call this "The Catacomb" or "The Egg Scrambler", or somehting totally different. These servers fill up quick on certain maps (lockdown, aim arena) that its bound for success. It even has the possibilty of adding more members to this clan!

settings for this server would be completely unmodded, just see how it goes.

Basically, all i am trying to say is that changes need to be made. The least you can do is give it a chance. I am also kind of tired of the "majority rules" in polls. people vote when they dont even step foot in this server! i just think that this clan is unwilling to try a change.

The sole opposing vote as of right now would be mine; IT WAS AN ACCIDENT !!!!! :) I meant to vote yes, as I too am all for an unmodded crypt to put us on a level training field, as this is the only way we will ever be able to match other clans in skill.
Right now, if you look on the Crypt stats, the weapon of choice for most of the clan is the crossbow, which is simply due to the one-shot kill mod the Crypt has. Take that away and the clan will be forced away from camping and into the realm of, *gasp* true skill.

The shotgun modification for extra rounds in the "clip" also puts us at a major disadvantage, especially when it comes to aim. With the 12 shells available, it's much easier to kill an enemy before reloading. The standard 8 shells, which other players are used to, would prove to be difficult to adapt to for those with poor aim.

Finally, the movement modifications are quite possibly the most damaging in terms of skill for us. With the higher acceleration variables, bunnyhopping is far too easy in comparison to other servers, which puts us at a movement disadvantage as well if we play in matches.

What happens when you put all three of these together? On a normal server, it turns out that {pDs} would be moving slower, aiming poorer, and used to different weapons than other clans. This not only applies to DM, but also carries over very significantly to the Tomb as well. I have seen many of our DM players rely too heavily on the crossbow ineffectively while more experienced players continually decimate the ranks with weapons that have real power. My vote is to make the Crypt completely unmodded and a standard server with respect to the aspects of gameplay affecting skill.

or my second option, how about opening a small server (if possible) of about 10 people. this one can be unmodded and could double as a pds practice server for DM.

well, we can see how the crypt is doing right now. we dont have enough active or willing to play on the crypt, this is just my assumption since when im on, the crypt is usually empty. i also believe that people want unmodded.

if everyone votes for no change, then play on the server.

what about with the extra slots given to the tomb and TF, those slots would be used to createan 8 person unmodded server/ practice server. this is just an idea.

then why do so many people play on the HAX server.  that server is just as tweaked, if not more, then the crypt and its usually full.

i think we just need more people to spam the HAX server with phrases like "TO THE CRYPT" and shit like that.  we need to get other people aware the the old crypt is back.  it was the mods that made it popular before and it will be popular again.  we just need to get the people back.

there have been countless attempts to make the server unmodded in the past and the modded decision always wins out.  this is just another one of those threads.  we have all seen em before and this probably won't be the last.

the crypt gives you a unique gaming experience that most people prefer.  HAX has copied it as close as they could and thus crypt and HAX were 2 of the most popular servers out there.  unfortunately our server went down, but HAX has still remained close to the top in the rankings. 

if you want an unmodded server, there are 600 unmodded servers out there.  people come to the crypt for something different and thats why it was so popular.  hopefully it will be just as popular as soon as our old regulars realize it back up and running.

yeah you're right, it is totally different. DM sucks. It's too slow. The speed mods on the crypt are fun, the faster the better.
