Well I came for a visit here too and to no surprise I found the Tomb empty.. and even more disturbing I found only 1 other person logged into ANY of the CTF servers at all.. Is this game really become that dead of an issue while I have been away?

Or did I just miss the hot times and there are actually people still playing these servers at any time? and if so when might I find a game here?

Because it is the only game this "clan" plays competitively. The size of the total CTF community may be small, but if I am not mistaken it still gets more people than the crypt and other servers. To drop the CTF server is to insult and alienate those here that play CTF, and then at that point you may as well just call this what it is; a gaming community, and stop bsing.

i couldnt agree more with what i just read.when i first played ctf i thought it was another cheesy mod.i was wrong.this game has brought countless numbers into the tomb.check the stats 11+ new players in the last 24 hours.this one hits close to home grumps,at anytime you feel compelled to frag us pm any of the ctf regulars and we will gladly jump on

and my cod2 idea was just an example. just trying to run ideas by ppl because apparently what servers we have running arnt doing the trick.....

i mean we are a video game community ..and i love soruce games well mostly cs and dod, dm is good tho, but for some reason our servers arnt gaining in popularity? something must be wrong if our own members wont play?  i myself am part to blamebut thats cuz my isp sucks as its going thru a transiition which has been "delayed for unexpected circumtances." anyways so im out of internet at my apt and can only work from the campuses free internet.....means no gaming.

but i mean mayb we shold take a step back and ask everyone why we dont play at our servers? is time an issue or is it the mods (ive heard this alot), is it were too lazy or are we choosing the wrong games (i only mention this since no one seems to play the games we have except for the dedicated foew of 10-15 i see that log onto xfire,

Main reason i wrote cod2 as example is cuz when i play the servers that are owned by a particular clan are always almost filled by that clan! 50% ofslots filled by clanmates is not unheard of?! wherease DM and CTF:DM seem to be much more single player games which do not require team work as much as other games (such as DOD, CS, COD2, etc).maybe teamwork is what were lacking?

IF teamwork is lacking perhaps our map choices for DOD:S should be chosen differntly. Now im not saying the map cycle insnt good, i love omaha and strand and orange bla bla bla. Omaha however is definatly a single player map .sure some teamwork is invovled but u dont need to work toegether on a large scale to suceed. strand is a great map and can be really competitive when teammateswork together, orange is another great team map, but what aout anzio, flash, etc that are great team maps. This maps generally fail for servers that lack clan support since when clan mates arnt present ppl tend to not work together and for KDR, which results in smaller and faster pace maps become much more effective.  But in my opioion most servers (i say most since there are always exceptions) that have regs are usually team based servers, ones that have the hardcore gamers the, ex military men and such that take the game a little too far? but this makes it fun! my fav servers inthe past have been ones where i am always found among other players working together for the same objective to win! not for bragging rights of stats and high kdrs?  sure kdrs are important but if ur off sniping and never help the team? are u really an effective player? of course not! id rather have a kid willing to get a negative kdr but always goes for the flag rather than a kid crossbowingfrom miles away with a 100% kdr

anyways too sum it up i think our clan is lacking teamwork, which results in low clan participation...personally DM for me isnt too much fun cause its such a singular game...u never hear ppl talking on the mic giving orders .......

PS: these are personal opionions, ideas to help out servers out! our servers are greatand so are the ppl? but we should always strive for more
