Well my dad is ticked because our new brother hl 5240 laser printer is not working properly it is not receving the jobs and we have tried to test it on multiple systems but with no avail any recomandations will be helpful "Its got stuff in it"

what have you tried? did you uninstall+reinstall it? have you tried swapping the USB cable? did you run any of the diagnostic software? Razor wrote:Killing people is good therapy.

yes yes and the usb worked on a different picture printer (only prints 4x6 pictures) "Its got stuff in it"

well if you jsut bought the printer, take it back and get a new one. I use lexmark printer and have it networked and anyone in the house can use it.
