In think the point sgtshiznix was trying to make is that it takes a minimum of 13-14 years in the military to make Sgt Maj. Should just note here that there are a number of both active and retired military here. In fact a number of the active military are on deployment as we speak in different parts of the world..
People are welcome here based upon who they are and there is no need for anyone to make themselves into something they are not.
This is being said in general and is not meant for anyone in particular..
So now lets get back to what we are all here for and game on people.. we have servers to fill. Once Known as Grumpy... Oh hell lets face it... I have and will always be Grumpy

LOL, Sgt Maj is also Army and is an NCO not an officer. BTW I don't think most people here even know the rank structure of the military. Don't worry we still like you regardless. Also, not sure who you are referring to as scrounging teh net - but I have been on active duty for almost 17 years now so I think I know a little bit about the rank structure. ...to be honest all i know is the next rank i could of gone to was Captain..
Knew it sounded familar though..Must of watched a rambo movie and been like Sgt Major.
btw...correct me if Im wrong but. I'm pretty sure your wrong on the estimated time to be promoted to the rank of Sgt. major...I'm a lil rusty but sgt. major has a pay grade of E-9 and I'd say its aabout..6 years?(person in military above me go ahead and clarify?forgot you name :x)
and as such you'd have to be a 36 year old(man?)person, who's busting balls..ona hl2dm forum. which is kinda disturbing
But onward witht he festivities..
Do pDs members get admin in tomb? ...Lawl

No, minimum time in grade is either 13 or 14 years for sure. E-9 is the highest rank you can obtain as an enlisted member. I'm 37 and normally don't bust balls on the forums but when someone is point blank wrong and talking out of their ass, I will point it out. I do however like to bust balls on the Tomb. I know one thing for sure = sergeant major is not a rank!!!!! It is an appointment. Just like a CO (commanding officer) one would think that every one in the military including officers would know the rank structure........ I am currently a master corporal with the canadian army which is also technically an appointment not a rank and to become a sergeant major for us usually takes 25 to 30 years of service. ps welcome mindspring maybe i missed it but do you play dod at all?
