My problem is that my rounded corners are changing colors across browsers. I got the effect by creating a 3 col table and putting PNG files in each corner that would match the color on the outside of the curve while maintaining transparency over the rest of the page on the inside of my curve. I have the background set to #666666 and so i went into photoshop and matched it by typing it in that color value. When i tested the effect in FF2, it looked perfectly seamless. In internet explorer, the background was slightly lighter than the corners. So i went into photoshop and adjusted the files' output levels from 0-255 to 20-255 to match IE7 as its the more popular browser but now its too light for FF2. and when i looked on a mac in safari it was too Dark! so i would have to lighten the pics even more to have it match it for safari.

Is there a way to identify which browser is looking at the site and maybe script it so that different PNGs would be brought up to match the browser? or is there an easier method? let me know. thanks!

try using CSS. I havent done any web design in awhile but I remember running into similar issues and having success using CSS. another option is to do a browser detect and then swap the .png's out but that would be an ugly way to do it.
