I have been looking at some new monitors myself as I only have 1 19in LG widescreen atm.  So far I've been looking at the 22in LG (2ms, 2000:1contrast) for $340, the 24in Samsung (5ms, 2000:1contrast) for $489, and the 32in Sharp (6ms, 12000:1contrast) for $1,200.  These are the top LCD monitors on the market if you like gaming, if your looking for one that won't hurt the wallet, then get the LG, it's pretty good and inexpencive.  But if you want a better quality LCD then get the Samsung, it's the best overall for performance, image, and quality in a LCD.  And then there's the all out overkill for a computer monitor, thats the Sharp, it does everything you're little heart could ever want it to do, and then some.
