Best budget RAM would be 1GB DDR2 667MHz, You can get this for about £80, A good budget graphics gard would be the X1950 for about £139. Work it out in dollars yourself ;) Quote:Posting related image due to my inability to formulate an intelligent response. BlooDz wrote:i cant type good im stupid

First off download BELARC ADVISOR: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
Then run it after you have installed it. This program tells you everthing you need to know about your compter....ie mobo, ram , etc etc
Hope this helps

Don't get a DX9 card. It's at the point to where it's getting upractical to call a high end DX9 card an upgrade, I'd get a mid range DX10. {pDs} Lead Salad: bike why did you change your name Jessica343: so I can get heals {pDs} Lead Salad: oh damn good idea {pDs} Lead Salad has changed their name to {pDs} Lead Salad (is a girl) Jessica343: hahah

sad but true re:dx10 cards. not that you need dx10 support, but it looks like performance wise it won't be long until things like my 7600gt can only push 20fps in new games. Razor wrote:Killing people is good therapy.

A02 05/24/2005 O_o, you want to upgrade with this thing, OMFG, even my old DFI board I'm using now has better characteristics than this thing, even if you are using a dual core P4. My suggestion, get a new mobo, cpu, ram, and vid card, then pray to god your PSU has enough power to run all of them and go from there. If you want performance advice on new hardware then just look me up on X-Fire, I'm usually able to find you guys some pretty good deals as I'm accustomed to finding cheap parts for computers that need them. Just ask shignog if I was able to help him find some parts he's been needing for his new sys. Again, I have no problem helping out when I'm on, whenever I get on my computer I launch X-Fire, Steam, Zune, and then Firefox, not always in that order but those are always the programs I'm running.
