I would worry about having to return the X-Box due to console failure. I didn't like the first two Halo, so "hell no" is my opinion. failures were in the past, the new revisions work just fine, and i got one when they first came out, and havn't had a problem with it.

I loved the first two but ever since the second came out I've been pretty cynical with bungie. Basically, the jump from 2 to 3 is as great as the one from the Halo to Halo 2. All they did was continue the storyline, add weapons, maps blah blah whatever. All of the improvements are just really gimmicky, it's less of a sequel than it is just an expansion.

360 was the last of the new consoles I bought cause I didn't want to join the bandwagon. i hated halo one and two so i never bothered with it. my friend sold me his for cheap couldn't pass up the deal. I play it more than any system now. bioshock is the # 1 reason you should own it #2 should be Gears 3 halo 4 tiger woods golf (golf standing for "gentlemens only ladies forbidden") if you can part with the $ get 360 they come with great warrenty's now so I wouldn't worry about the red ring of death

Well there's more to 360 than Halo 3, for example, i wanna check out Bioshock, and i've already played and liked Gears of War. The red ring of death isn't really a fear of mine, I wouldn't mind parting with a broken console for a little while to get a working one again for free. The price is already low enough for me to be considering it, but i'll also need those over-priced microsoft accessories (such as a second/third/fourth controller, $99 wireless network adapter, etc, etc..)
