Anyone else having the VAC can't connect issue? Every time I try to play I get booted within a few minutes. I checked out the steam forums and it looks like a lot of people are having this issue since the new patches came out. Valve says nothing of course. Anyone had any luck fixing this? I don't want to reinstall the whole damn thing if I don't have to, and I saw several people say that doing this made no difference for them.

Pretty sure it means you have updated and the servers haven't, or the other way around.

I just remember chewing it for 5 minutes before giving up. I tried to fit the whole slab into my mouth and some of it started sliding down to where I started to gag on it. I ended up pulling the whole 7" piece by the very tail end from my esophagus before stuffing it under my seat cushion.

Deleting the blob files seemed to work. I kept getting d/c from VAC no ticket or w/e.  I exited steam, deleted the blob files, and restarted the game connecting to the same server. I haven't gotten d/c from any VAC issue.

I think the VAC servers were actually down, or something. Whatever was wrong mysteriously went away after about 45 minutes or so. Hopefully it doesnt come back, it sounds like a lot of people are still having this issue ever since the big steam update that added the whole community thing. Which, now that I think about it, could explain the problem I had: Right before it began I accepted a friend invite, and one of the settings I messed around with in the hopes of fixing the problem was to turn the new community shit off while in-game. Hmm.

Ive never had a problem with the community disturbing my gaming. And Ive registerd {pDs} like the 3rd day it was launched. Frankly Ive had more problems with Xfire crashing my games then every error ive had combined. If your still getting that VAC issue try doing what I did, doesn't hurt to try as it seemed to work for me the first time.

i agree with DIck. something is wrong with servers or there is a routing issue. i can log in, but sometimes it'll just drop me, lost connection to VAC is the reason.

or maybe it's a FF only issue, seeing as that's all i play these days...
yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.
