We must upgrade the server box. No way around it. It's going to cost me more money. Also no way around it. The IPs for the servers will change. Do we go for it and if we do will you assist me in rebuilding after the damage? If we upgrade we can host even more servers in the future. The choice is yours...

Please take this into account, take down Tempest 4 temporary. No point starting a new server only to have its IP changed within a couple of days. Have the 3 remaining Tempest servers MOTD changed to specify about server upgrade and will require a re-fresh of IP's, as well as have server ingame announcements tell of server IP changes. Let the 3 Tempest servers run on their own for at least a minimum of 3 days or more so people are aware of server IP changes. oh man.. its gonna be hard to get all the regulars back. but it should be doable if we just spend a few nights populating the servers with ourselves, others will notice.  Formally known as MrT The film "Brokeback Mountain" was originally pitched as an off-beat romance starring MrT and WhutDuFuk. The sole reason the two legends declined the starring roles is because if MrT and WhutDuFuk were to kiss, there would be new meaning to the word homosexual...it would mean "obligation".

add a new section to the server briefs up top make it obnoxious. "SERVER IS RELOCATING"

OH! you can get a server dummy to run the servers but no players. itll just show up on favourites with the name "Tempest #X HAS MOVED TO NEW IP 0.0.0.0"

i know this isnt 1.6, but some servers have auto redirect on their servers from old ips to new ones. we could run that script for a little bit and tell people to favourite the new server, too.
