That happens to me once in awhile.
When it restarts, the message says that it recovered due to an issue with a device driver. Not very helpful to me, but perhaps for you, it will mean something? I updated my video drivers... did you? /shrug
Good luck!

How often does it happen? Everytime you play? {pDs}BelligerentPimp wrote: No using the word "fucktard" unless you are refering to TonyRWC or Youngripark.j2. WDF? wrote:go fuck yourself hanukkah style.

is it blue screening or actually powering off/rebooting? If its literally shutting down without any error it could be overheating. If you have any other games that really stress your CPU and video card at the same time, run them and see what happens. Razor wrote:Killing people is good therapy.

Yea to me it sounds like a overheating problem, maybe some new fans, or a better case

That used to happen to me when I TRIED to start TF2 without a vid card. With a vid card, 8600 GT, it would happen about once a week. Of course i had a 300W power supply. What are the specs of your machine: Power wattage, CPU type, memory size, vid card, operating system? And what is the date of your driver: Start - Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device Manager - Display Adapters - (ATI driver name) - Driver. Report on driver date and driver version. You should be more like Cantrip. Twitchy: "I pulled a Cantrip . . ." GivePeaceAChance: "If the Tempest had nipples, I'd pinch that shit." Xylicon: "I'm about to deliver my [Richard] in your face for posting that stupid shit. " WDF?: "He keeps reaming me... night after night... I'm rather sore." GivePeaceAChance: "OMG MY NIPS ARE HARD" llenta: "cantrip, you fail!!!" Filliam H. Muffman: "i'm on top of dick"
