I recommend the coolpix or powershot series by Canon or Nikon. Generally, they have good picture quality and have models with features in increments based on price. The Canons tend to use Compact Flash memory and the Nikons use SD, though some models do give and taken. However, the memory on either isn't very expensive and you can definitely get a gig worth for pretty cheap now.
Look for basic optical zoom, rather than digital zoom only. Digital zoom is basically cropping a picture to "zoom" in on it, whereas optical is magnifying the image and not taking away resolution and quality. {pDs} Lead Salad: bike why did you change your name Jessica343: so I can get heals {pDs} Lead Salad: oh damn good idea {pDs} Lead Salad has changed their name to {pDs} Lead Salad (is a girl) Jessica343: hahah

What bike said is very true. Just having advised a co-worker a week ago about the same subject, I do tend to recommend the Cannons over others though. They are very forgiving and and tend to take great shots with people with crappy skills. I bought recommended the SD800 to a friend only because she wanted a few extra features, but the camera has a very simple point and shoot setting. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16830120193 Is comparable to the one you linked. Again, the colors tend to be truer with Cannon and you tend to pay a little less because the name is considered "cheap" even though their cameras usually rate higher then Nikkon or Olympus. Ask yourself what you want to do with the camera (basic pictures or artsy-fartsy stuff) then look for camera's that have those features. More pixels does not mean better pictures. Optical zoom is the only thing that matters. Media format is not a issue unless you have a ton of money invested in a particular format. What Bike said plus mine = you will be happy. Dude, I use a 5.1 megapixel camera for the pics and vids I post here. It's more than adequate. It was like $60 at the time and the 2 Gig memory card was more than the camera. Get optical zoom. Get a big memory card on sale somewhere. At least 2 Gigs for a capacity of over a thousand photos or over two hours of video. You should be more like Cantrip. Twitchy: "I pulled a Cantrip . . ." GivePeaceAChance: "If the Tempest had nipples, I'd pinch that shit." Xylicon: "I'm about to deliver my [Richard] in your face for posting that stupid shit. " WDF?: "He keeps reaming me... night after night... I'm rather sore." GivePeaceAChance: "OMG MY NIPS ARE HARD" llenta: "cantrip, you fail!!!" Filliam H. Muffman: "i'm on top of dick"

Just look for one that says lithium-ion on the box. This ensures that it's rechargable. As for the budget, I dont think 120 dollars will net you a rechargable camera. The bare-minimum for a lithium ion camera is usually 150-180. I'm the leetest one here
