I've never been a fan of ATI stuff and choose nVidia chipsets over the others. Generic nVidia works fine, so you can save money. nVidia bought out 3Dfx years ago and they've always been good, solid workhorse cards. But... I'm sure you'll find people that'll disagree.

I went and got a Geforce 8800 GT OC today but i guess my shit power supply won't support it =(. So now i'm gonna take it back (if i can) and get something else.

Thank you for the links bitchmaker, I appreciate it. Do you know if the video card at 124$ would run TF2 well?

Yes dude the 124 one will run TF2. I donno what frame rates you'd get on max settings but it should be OK. Does anyone here own this card?

If you mean the 7600 card from newegg, then it will run fine. Or it should. The 7300 runs it fine. But I hear there are issues with the 7600.

Keep the 8800GT as it's probably the best bang for buck card out there and go buy yourself a better powersupply.

Heres one for 20 bucks after rebate: link

I would recommend a high end 7 series over a mid-range 8 series. The 7900 GS is a great card and should perform just as good if not better then a 8600. The mid-range 8 series cards are pure garbage imo. You could also keep the 8800 an buy a cheap 450-550 watt power supply. There are plenty sub 50 dollar power supplies in that range. Remember never skimp on the power supply.
I'm the leetest one here

I went to newegg and got a 500 Watt PSU and it was cheap after rebate. Just search for Coolermaster 500W And also go here for good benchmarks http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics_2007.html
