First thing I would do is update your video drivers. If they're not updated it may be whats causing you so much grief. You may also want to download the dual core optimizer from the AMD website for windows XP. If these both fail it may be a ram problem. What type of Ram do you have?

heres the type of ram i have

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231047

i updated my video drivers already and have DX9.0c, my card isnt dx10 compatible :<, ill try to find that dual core optimizer, i have about 40 processes running but it only takes up a fifth of my total ram accordning to my computer

Sounds like you have a Cantrip infestation to one half of your dual-core....

Your motherboard should have come with a disk with the drivers, if not, you can go to the maker's website and download them there.

Out of curiosity, did you run something like Wipedisk to zap your HD?

Also, do this:  Start>Control Panel>System>Hardware (tab)>Device Manager (button)

Do you see any yellow exclamation points in front of any of the devices?  If there are, there's a driver problem.
You should be more like Cantrip.

i would test the hardware startingwith the harddrive, u can usually get some specific test tools from tjhe manufactorer, or just use seatools, spyware may have only been 1 of the issues

it's ok. all computer components have clearly dotted lines along which you can cut* to make smaller.

Hmm well it could be a harddrive problem itself. Maybe your hardrive is starting to crap out on you. I had a friend who had a similiar problem and the end result was a dead hardrive. This is more than likely not the case however so it may be a Mobo problem so see about updating the drivers for it.
