I know about it. I am trying to fix it.

It has nothing to do with the move. It is an issue with our box that I am trying to resolve.

The fact of the matter is that you guys can tell me how I made a mistake in moving the box. That's not true. It might feel that way because of the current performance issues, but at the end of the day this box is for work first and games second. I think I know what the issue is and am trying to resolve it.

Moving was definitely the right decision, whatever is up now will get resolved. Whoever says otherwise can shut their pie hole!

Seconded.

Blaming the lag on the move is understandable, as that's the only thing that's changed. But it doesn't seem to be the issue here.

Regardless, we really appreciate everyone's patience as we make this transition.

Here's the problem. People are bitching and when I do something to try and fix the problem and I get zero feedback.

I ask for choke levels. Nothing. Time of day. Nothing.

I need feedback or this isn't getting fixed.

I am seeing the lag issues, it is only late evening when more than 1 tempest server is full, then if too many people get in one area such as on a capture point is when it hits. Like i will run then suddenly be back 10 feet from where i was or my rockets are delay shooting, or im healing and suddenly the guy im healing is out of range of me. Oh warpath is a good example when trying to get through a tunnel area to the next point when basically everyone is right there fighting. My ping is about 90-100 all the time and even during the spikes of lag, my ping stays the same. Hope this is helpful info.  Ms.Frags

This was pretty much my story last night too.  It was not the same run of the mill lag feel to me.

I tried to get all that info for your Whut but shit was so inconsistent. I think the only way you will figure it out is to get on when 2 or more servers are full. I notice it happens particularly on the first part of dustbowl when all 30 people are near the first spawn fighting it out. I will try to get temp1 or 3 filled tonight, if you can get on we can switch to dustbowl and I can show you exactly what happens (assuming it actually happens, it doesn't always happen which is part of why its so weird).

I will go disable hyperthreading tomorrow. Have to go to the datacenter to do that.

Hopefully that will resolve it.

There were times tonight I couldn't move. It was worse tonight than I have seen since the move. I still have a low ping (from like 5 to 19) but lag is present. Sometimes, I can't even move. Anyway, ...

Tonight at 7 EST, Tempest 1 was full and became choppy. We were playing gravelpit.

Teabag Rex : this place is too choppy to even be worth sticking around
{pDs}Murdy : fucking lag fucking suck ass
Teabag Rex : holy shit this server is laggy as hell

It sucks because our server was full with new names for once.

I jumped in for  a second or two and it was laggy as shit. Most of the new people who were on though Leon were pinging over 200. I dont want to extend my ping belief into this thread but when you have a bunch of people with 200 + ping problems ensue. Just my 2 cents.
