Go Blazers! Finally snapping their 4 game losing streak by beating the beaten-up Seattle SuperSonics. Back-to-back game tomorrow!

WDF's Sonics are moving, it seems. Sorry to hear that. Need more NW basketball!

Trades? Portland traded Taurean Green for a 22 yr old Von Wafer to add a shooting threat off the bench. Trade made due to recent injuries that have been causing us a problem with that 2nd line of offense (James Jones).

What about Shaq in Phoenix? They lost their Shaq opener to L.A. Lakers.

Pau Gasol to the Lakers was brilliant for L.A., I'm afraid to say, and the guy in Memphis... WHAT WAS HE THINKING?!?

Cleveland got LeBron some help with the addition of Seattle's Wally Szczerbiak and Chicago's Ben Wallace.

I want an NHL team. T-Birds ain't doing it for me anymore.

As far as the Sonics go, I don't think there are more than a handful of people in Seattle who are sad about them leaving. Never in my life have I been so turned off by a team. They've decided to blame the fans for the move. "Waah fans don't come to the game so we're leaving!"

Well, fans don't come to the games because they are awful. So, their excuse? "Waaah Key Arena is shitty we want a new arena! Seahawks and Mariners got new stuff waaaah."

Well, here's the deal. A new arena would draw in people for maybe a couple months or so... to see the new arena, not to see the Sonics. We'd then end up with a fancy ass arena for a shitty team. Sounds good to me.

If they didn't suck, we'd go to the games. But why am I going to spend $100 to go to a game that I already know the outcome of.

I also love the concept of moving a team because you think attendance will go up.

Suck is universal. Good fucking luck.

1)  Best slam-dunk contest I've seen in a long time.

2) I hate Shaq.  I hate him so much that it makes me upset to see him with the Suns, who I actually like.

3) Being from San Antonio and a fan of the NBA, I love the Spurs.  Ginobili scored 44 points yesterday, 1/3 which were all in the 4th quarter. "LOL BUT BIKE THEY ARE SO OLD".  They play well in games that matter.  There are many shitty playoff teams that do really well in the regular season, and they ALWAYS kick it up up after the all-star game.  We've had too many injuries to try to pwn in the regular season, all we need is a playoff bid.

4) /wrist Mark Cuban

5) Boston has stumbled a bit very recently in their defense.  They play the Suns tonight which will be a very interesting game.

6) Rawr.

Living in Denver I'm pretty much a Colorado fan.    That means the Nuggets out here.     No one gave a shit about this team until we picked up Carmelo.  And how that happened still blows me away.     Cleveland take LeBron but then Detroit takes Darko???  Are you kidding?   Oh well, good news for us.

Then we added AI which work us all up.

They are still a ways from joining the Elite for sure.    And nothing happened for us at the trading deadline.    We're still saddled with K-Mart's huge contract and Nene can't stay healthy to reach his potential.

So we'll make the first round or just miss again... bleh.

Outside of that I'm pulling for the Celts.     I'd love to see the big three get a ring but not convinced they can win against the West in a 7 game series.

What pisses me off the most is that 90% of the Suns games are shown on a Phoenix channel that I don't get.

A Suns fan on the WDF forums?? I KNEW I loved this place! :D

We did need a big guy that could clog up the center lane, but after watching the playoffs this year and loosing to the Spurs again *eye twitch* I'm beginning to wonder if it was really worth it.

Though, Shaq came into training camp looking thinner and, dare I say, a bit like the old Shaq. I really do believe he wants to bring a Championship to Phoenix, but wanting something and actually getting it are two different things.

How do you feel about the rookies? How about Matt Barnes? Frankly I was thrilled when we got him!

And the nuggets might be pretty good this year just picked up a new guard Dahntay Jones... He just got put back but he was among the best when he played for Duke..
