Yeah, It's not as fun. Also lots of people were complaining about it when I was on.

An admin can change it in-game, btw. Not sure of the command to do so...

Temp 1 was almost full tonight, and it was rockin. Then it changed to 2Fort. After the second round, the server was empty of all but {pDs} and a few regs, all of whom were complaining as well. I suggest taking 2Fort out of the rotation on Temp 1. This isn't the first time I've seen it empty the server.

it's really annoying not being able to trigger a votemap as an admin. I have yet to see rtv get enough votes on a semi-full sever to trigger a vote. The times I've seen it work on near empty servers the map choices are shit.

re: 1-cap wins - it is really obnoxious and makes no sense. Did the steam update make it happen?

yeah, 1 cap win sucks.

and i do miss the mani mod admin commands.  being able to create map votes with selected maps was the shit.  why can't we get mani for TF2?

yeah, being able to define the vote options leads to a much better selection. you can actually talk to the people on the server and find out what they want and then give them choices that they are into. it's all interactive and shit.

I've used rtv many times, and for people who know what it does, it's good times. the only problem with it is when the server is full of n00bs and you have to explain what it does to them

@Admins: being able to start a map vote only works when there is an admin on the server to do it. When you guys aren't around, everyone is just stuck with whatever map is on the server. I remember this happening to me several times before we started the rtv system.

mapvoting by admins has been removed and the rtv system does not have nominations (as far as I know).

i agree, rtv sucks most of the time, the defualt map selection by it sucks, a lot of times i hear people requesting maps that arent on the rtv selection, would be good to select specific maps again

I know that map voting by admin has been disabled, but my point still applies. Whenever there is an admin on the server, I agree, it is the best system. The problem is when there are none present.

In regards to rtv, I will quote 3bam:

"In any given democracy, only half of the people will vote".

This, I find, is consistantly true. Maybe things would work out better if we reduced the amount of votes needed?
