Took me a minute to get the cartoon but it was cute.  Good pics.  What gear do you use?

The top picture in B&W was taken in Washington D.C. with a $99 DXG Digital Camera. It doesn't capture light too well indoors, but it takes a pretty good shot outside

The color pictures I took with a 40 year old $4000 Nikon that kinda looks like this but a little cooler (couldn't find an exact pic of it:

The Nikon needs some repair right now though... I'm having issues feeding film through it.

You are a Nikon person?  Is it too late to change my vote?  Just kidding.  I prefer Canon myself.

The Nikon was a gift from my grandmother, I prefer Canon myself too. ... but the Nikon serves its purpose and takes fairly good pictures. =)

From my Experience Canon is very good, but it's main selling point is it's user friendly interface. Nikon on the other hand has been in the buissness alot longer and you get what you pay for, Take for Example the Nikon D3: It's price is well, let me ask you a question "Would you buy a car or would you buy a D3" It's approx. Retail value is 5300$

If I had the money I would buy one but I kinda don't...if however someone is feeling generous I'd still take a Nikon d100 over the newest Canon XTi Rebel.

lol film

Formally known as MrT
The film "Brokeback Mountain" was originally pitched as an off-beat romance starring MrT and WhutDuFuk. The sole reason the two legends declined the starring roles is because if MrT and WhutDuFuk were to kiss, there would be new meaning to the word homosexual...it would mean "obligation".

Don't get a Rebel. The parts break too easily. Get a D20, D40, etc....much better quality.

The d300 is essentially the same camera as the d3 but in a different body, for about half the price.

Do you mean d200?  Not really in the same class as the d40.

I shoot with a d40, pushing about 10,000 exposures now with no problems at all, not even a dirty sensor after countless lens changes.

Excellent pics.  I would not mind a thread for cameras and pics.  With cameras, especially if you are on a budget, you tend to stick with the first choice.  Jumping brands can get expensive after you have bought the lenses, etc. I like Canon although if I have a pile of money I would get a Nikon too.  One does things better than the other and vice versa.
