OMG, I was going to post about CERN yesterday, But I thought nobody would be interested. Its quite amazing what they are doing.
http://atlasexperiment.org/
I think that the experiment that they are doing is Dangerous, Creating "Microscopic Black Holes", Do they not know what happend at "Black Mesa" in Half-Life?! and smashing atoms into each other, well, who knows, it could have the same affect as splitting the atom.
LHC TEMPERATURE EQUIVALENT

Great job at trying to destroy the universe by not knowing what you are really doing.
And this is only a Theory anyway, They could find nothing, and have wasted Billions of Pounds. Quote:Posting related image due to my inability to formulate an intelligent response. BlooDz wrote:i cant type good im stupid

You're right Terminator. Also, the US government was fully behind the 9/11 attacks, Jesus was black, and Elvis is living with aliens. silverwasp wrote:Be careful what you wish for... I have 10 younger siblings and I am only 20....

I'm touching myself right now. Get it in while you can boys, er, the touching and life experiences and such, not, oh, nevermind. You should be more like Cantrip. Twitchy: "I pulled a Cantrip . . ." GivePeaceAChance: "If the Tempest had nipples, I'd pinch that shit." Xylicon: "I'm about to deliver my [Richard] in your face for posting that stupid shit. " WDF?: "He keeps reaming me... night after night... I'm rather sore." GivePeaceAChance: "OMG MY NIPS ARE HARD" llenta: "cantrip, you fail!!!" Filliam H. Muffman: "i'm on top of dick"

I went to a colloquia at the UW physics department, the speaker was an administrator at CERN. Just about everyone in physics will tell you that these endgame scenarios are unlikely and the idea isn't very well founded. Not knowing what they are doing? These are the best physicists in the world. Do you think you know what's going to happen?

yeah. anywhere i've heard about the doomsday scenarios, they've either been through secondary sources or from some crackpot scientists who know a lot less about what they are doing than the guys at CERN. and to say they dont know what they are doing is laughable. the Grid replacing the internet in 10 years though is overly ambitious. sure broadband hasn't even penetrated most of the world yet. and codsidering most ISPs have their upgrades for the next 5 years or so planned it'll be an awful lot longer before they even consider it. yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.

Yeah but a microscopic black hole or a strangelet are both way, way, way down on the list of possibilities.

I think you guys are forgetting that God would never let such a horrific accident occur to his precious world and his precious people. It obviously can't happen. silverwasp wrote:Be careful what you wish for... I have 10 younger siblings and I am only 20....
