hey anyone know of a good gap video card for around 300-350? WDF?: I found a hot girl WDF?: Who lets me WDF?: Drink WDF?: Smoke WDF?: And play video games WDF?: ALL DAY shignog: and in the back door? ATi is the only choice for AGP cards, since Nvidia stopped making them years ago. And they only make 1 agp card built for serious gaming, which is the Radeon 3850HD. The next lowest card is the Radeon 2600, so the 3850 is probably your only choice. Win Cookies Awarded: 7 (bawwwwww)

Avoid the 9800s, ATM they are all renamed 8800 GTS 512s with slightly faster ram. Save some cash and grab a GTS 512 or wait for GT200 which is about 2-3 months out.

I picked myself up a 8800 gt super clocked edtion and it can play every game at max settings and high fps at 1280x1024 and it handles everything i throw at it. I play crysis on everything high and get 30-45fps cant do very high but i think i have to sli but i dont know. I have an 8800GTS OC sitting in my shopping cart at Newegg.com, waiting for the moment I feel comfortable buying that and some others. It might not be bleeding edge, but my plan is to get an SLI motherboard with an AM2+ slot in a few months, at which time I can get a second 8800GTS and buy myself even more time on the video front. At that point I'll probably go quad-core, too. "Bleeding edge" is over-rated these days since the recipe is becoming one of "more" more so than "better", given the increasing commonality of multi-card and multi-core technologies. Two of the better last-gen cards seems to be the way to go over one of the current gen. If you have the money to get two of the current-gen... power to you. EDIT: Reviewed the benchmarks and realized I misread them. Switched to the 8800GT OC.. which is actually cheaper than the GTS and has better benchmarks. Weird.
