I would have thought I'd say yes given that it was in TFC, but I actually have to say no. In TFC a medic could heal people only by touching them and certainly had no concept of uber, or a weapon as dangerous as their bone saw. So back then being able to infect the enemy helped the class get up there in the usefulness ranks. But with the medigun and all the stuff they have now... infectious diseases would give them too much power. Something that allows them to give crits for 10 seconds will already be making them overpowered.

Yes yes yes! It's really no different than a pyro setting someone on fire - given enough time and proximity, there can be a lot of damage, and it really helps the medic with kd ratios. I vote a resounding yes. And I like the sounds people make as they are dying of ebola.

No.

Medic infection.. lets bring back the detpack too.  and then nail grenades and napalm and all the other stuff they playtested out because of balance issues.

Or we could just run TFC....that might be easier.

+1 Medic is already getting a Valve approved boost, plus in a few weeks when the update comes out its probably going to break that mod until they fix it

I voted yes cuz I'm curious how well it will work out and the only way to find out is to try. If it sucks then we can always pull it later.

We should do a trial run, {pDs} only on a server and test it out and see how it goes. Personally I don't think we should have it as per the same reason that the medic will be getting updates sometime this month. Medic roles are gonna be pretty damn populer so adding to the medic inventory kinda out-weights other classes in abilities.

In my mind, it should speed up killing and make medics alittle bit more played. The only thing im afraid is that it might promote people to play battle medic and just infect, bonesaw, run, heal, repeat. I can't think of any negative effects from infection besides promoting battle medics and in some way, it'll be abused just like the grenade that is removed because people spammed.

I vote nay here. Between the bonesaw and needlegun, the medic is a force as it is. Perhaps a trial period would sway opinions, and give those not in the know a chance to get acquainted?
