So played with this for a while yesterday and people are still getting used to the new feature. Here are some things Ive noticed while crit ubering people.
1. Many time people dont know they are crit ubered even though there weapon is sparking like a mofo...so tell them like a good medic should.
2.People are all too ready to jump out and get themselves blowen away(wasting a critskrieg)...remind them they arent not invun and need to maintain cover.
3.Good results Ive seen from the use of this feature
a. A critskreiged heavy plowing through a long hall is easy...as long as there is no regular counter uber.
b.A critskreiged soldier with good aim / leading skills taking out defenders at range.
c.A reugular uber coming into to the last point in dustbowl while then a critskrieged heavy coming in beind and wasting anyone that respawns.
d. Simutanious use of critskrieg and regular uber on a heavy at the end of dust destroyed all defenders...the critscrieged medic needs to maintain cover behind the ubers or something else.
4. Possible uses I like to see done
Defensive
a. Use crits critskreg on a demo and let him place 8 crit stickys (at a CP, corner or level gate prior to rnd start) have the demo blow each sticky 1 by 1 instead of all at once that way you have a longer and better chance to do more damage to the enemy. 8 crits could mean 8 enemys killed on a blind corner is succession.
Offensive
a. Clearing a counter attack on a cap. Example: Cap C on Gravel pit. Blue attacks with uber makes it up. Red responds in mass. Critskrieged demos or soldiers clear red from cap by attack from middle A route at range and sends most of red to respawn. This will give the seconds needed to cap the point.
4. Using 2 soldiers launch in succession launch 8 crit rockets to decimate an area. Crit uber first solly he lets four go then switch it to next solly he lets 4 more fly.
Most server have been to caotic to try to attempt these but I'd like to hook up with some of you all and see if they are effective tactics.
Anyone else have any more ideas or have seen other effective uses I'd love to hear them.

no its lay down 8 ...
when you lay the 9th one the 1st one of you previous 8 explodes
lay the 10th the 2nd of your previous 8 explodes
repeat until all 8 crits have exploded
only launch anew one when a enemy is near your hidden crit pile.

The only problem with this strategy is it takes awhile to shoot the stickies, by the time you get to the 8th reloading takes a bitch load of a time, my guess is you could get maybe 10 sticky crits at most the kritzkreg or w/e only lasts 10 seconds which isn't very long when your firing slow. I read somewhere that when your kritz is on the firing rate is reduced by 20% I think. I read that ingame somewhere so I can't remember exactly. ahhhh_crap wrote:no, splinter has ethics and whut has emotions

I think your missin what im saying still. This tactic is for camp/ambush only
Triiger the Kritscreg on a demo before any enemies are even around and let him hide his stickyis.
He reloads his sticky gun with 8 but does not fire ...by this time the charge is gone but 8 critical stickys are there hidden.
Enemy comes by the demo shoots 1 shot from sticky therefore blowing the first of the crits.
rinse reapeat until all crit stickys are done. so instead of 1 large 8 crit sticky explosion you have single crit sticky explosons in succession.
What this avoids is blowing all 8 crit stickies at once where 1 would have been enough to do the job. Why get 1 kill when you could get 8.

the kriztcrieg is awesome, but it works best at choke points. The temptation is to run out in the open and start firing which gets you and the medic killed. Another use is with a pyro assaulting a sentry but you need to get someone in closer than the pyro-medic to draw its fire long enough for the flame to take it out. It was also good coming up behind an opposing group. You can take out the whole group with 4 crit rockets before they even know you're there (2 Fort through the sewers, dustbowl flanking left on second point behind the rock on 2nd map phase).
defending against it involves getting away from it and/or killing the medic (as usual). "I love the smell of napalm in the morning. Smells like ... victory"

Does critscrieg cause you to drop the intel like uber does? It could be hella useful in plowing your way out of the basement of 2 fort .
I have never tried it...but Does the pipe bomb blown up by overshooting the limit actually do damage? I didnt think it did. I have never seen a demo actually hurt anybody doing it that way. Quote:

In a game where the medic is endangered just even being 500 ft. near anyone, you have to keep the medic alive just to keep the kritzkrieg going cause everyone will go for the medic. This is a MAJOR flaw to the kritzkrieg making it a disappointment to me. They should've kept the 100% over heal but drains slowly making it more useful.
For defensive uses,
The stickies can be blown away, so its ethier the demoman is there or he gets lucky and splash manages to hit. If the demoman is there then, course everyone wants to kill him.
For offensive uses,
They have a uber to stop your kritzkrieg for sure. You pop kritz, they pop uber, your kritz is no match for an uber and they SHOULD of went for the medic and killed you losing the kritz and easily winning.
Like I said, keeping the medic alive is a priority if you use kritzkrieg and not always can you stop the from happening.
If your attacking in dustbowl, your opponent will ethier have kritz or uber. If it's kritz, you better hope your target doesn't die. Your target dies, well... you wasted kritz time. Your target doesn't, well I hope you don't die.
I just want people to take the time and help defend the medic instead of being selfish and killing everyone infront first and pushing crazy or rocket jumping. You can see whos healing you and their health, you see their health drop. Just turn around and see whats happening.

I can see what you mean. It's certainly frustrating dying consistently. So my grand theory is this:
Offense: Normal-Uber
Defense: Crits-Uber
My Rationale:
Offense is about breaking choke points and destroying sentries. You'll need a shield to break through these obstacles. Or you need me as a spy and sap everything...lolz. (Tripmines?)
Defense is about killing waves and waves of attackers, making sure they don't amass enough guys to overflow your defense. So you'll need a very sharp meat-grinder to chew through these waves. A crit-uber works also because defenders are rarely the focus of heavy fire (i.e. you're always in a building vs. offenders are always in the open, hence you'll survive longer.
P.S. Yes you can crit-uber when carrying the flag. (Jackpot!)

uuummm.... Defense is actually defending wave(s) of UBER CHARGE attacks. No one pushes anymore unless medics have an uber :/ So let see your crits in action against an uber charge.

ubers are very easy to break for a good demo, as u see a uber advancing, just lay some stickies in there path, they will ignore them, wait for the medic to be on top of them, blow them, watch the medic fly across the map and watch them scamble helplessly, after scrammbled, assult with crit, dead and gone MakeSureItsCharcoalGrilled wrote: yes. please go fuck yoruself and die.
