my logitec just ate shit. its the second one i have had and usually the headphones die before the mic die i need a new combo... any one got any reccomendations? the mic lasted for a year this time but the headphones only about 2 months.

I use and love my Sennheiser. Do not know the model though.  How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

I just got this Plantronics a couple weeks ago: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826106070So far I much enjoy it. Though interestingly I haven't used the mic beyond checking it out briefly in the Window's recorder program. But it folds up nicely and I use the headphones all the time now, given I have no desk speakers. The one thing that's slightly bothersome for me is that it's USB. Don't get me wrong, I like that it's USB. But Windows Vista is a bit anal retentive about the dual usage of multiple audio output devices. So I couldn't use both 3.5mm and USB at the same time for the same audio stream, and you might find yourself having to micromanage what's being used if you have multiple outputs and Vista. I'm sure Microsoft will eventually improve that piece.

I use a plantronics too. Cheap (35$) and reliable. "I love the smell of napalm in the morning. Smells like ... victory"
