I'd like to see a one day event on tempest #2 where each team is forced to be one class. It would be random for each team and it would switch every round so you'd never know what class you would end up playing. To a small extent this has occurred randomly. On a few occasions I've seen over half of one team heavies while the other team is engineers. It can be a real blast. Anyway I just think it would be really interesting to see. The only problem I can envision is that a team of spies would most likely be totally dominated if they were up against say...a team full of pyros. Other than that this just sounds like fun.

that would be pretty funny. maybe as a voting option or something, like rtv only instead of changing the map it would turn something like this on for one map, or even better for some pre-determined time period (otherwise it wouldn't work on temp2 I dont think). You should be more like Cantrip. Twitchy: "I pulled a Cantrip . . ." GivePeaceAChance: "If the Tempest had nipples, I'd pinch that shit." Xylicon: "I'm about to deliver my [Richard] in your face for posting that stupid shit. " WDF?: "He keeps reaming me... night after night... I'm rather sore." GivePeaceAChance: "OMG MY NIPS ARE HARD" llenta: "cantrip, you fail!!!" Filliam H. Muffman: "i'm on top of dick"

I think this is a Great idea, some of the best times i have had was wen both teams were forced all heavy melee only for a Sudden death round... lol great times, just think it would be nice if there was a vote as cheney said, for classes/time of round/ even weapon availability.

Well I will say that one night when we were stuck on a map, because it wouldn't change, I convinced our entire team to just dick around and play as one class, we changed each time, and charged out of the spawn as one. I think the best was when we all went pyro..... It was fun, but do it on tempest 3.....not two.... I'm curious as to why so many of you think T3 would be better than T2? Is is just because you favor T3? I like the idea of T2 because the map is so perfect in it's strategic design and under a random class circumstance one team is ultimately going to be forced to take the defensive. Engineers for example would almost always be on the defensive and scouts would always be on offense. It just seems to make more sense to me on a map like 2fort.

Think about it this way.....if one team gets unlucky with class, they get raped until map change.....Or reset. Also it could get really boring quickly, if one side went all engi, and the other went all scout......They could just progressively push forward till they had turrets inside the scouts base, camping their spawns. Besides, I can just picture an all pyro Warpath, or all demo avanti. I suppose T3 would be better as then we would have the opportunity to experiment with various maps as well.

And one of the quickest ways to empty Tempest 2 is to do something other than the norm.. some people just want to play a good standard game of 2Fort. Tempest 3 is not quite so busy and everyone doesn't have the expectation that it will be standard 2fort map... it changes often, so we can pretty much do as we like and not worry about losing a 'fan base' such as Tempest 2 has..
At least I 'think' that is the reasoning.. btw.. I'm one of those people who don't much care for screwing around wit mah fave map... LOL... I would play your kind of game on another server tho .. for a bit..

Maybe we need a third experimental server. The two Tempest servers aren't always full but boy do they fill up quick when people start to join.
