Several of our new members have suggested playing together more. I think this is a great suggestion and it can help introduce the new faces to the old faces. Organizing is sometimes not easy however. So I want to take a poll of what the majority of us want to participate in before setting some events up.

1) Picking fights with other clans
-we challenge another clan
-pDs has made some contacts via our TWL tournament and generally being a cool clan to play with:
{TF2F}, [FG], [SlowPoke's Clan], [FU], HAX, etc.
-finding scrims shouldn't be a problem
-BUT most of these clans are league clans
-the problem is they have a lot more practice than us and will probably whoop us

2) Team practices
-we set dates of practice
-we get the league team on one side and fight other pDs or other clans
-if the same faces show up, then we can develop some sort of coherent strategy

3) Informal, pick-up games
-we could vote on one day of the week
-whoever wants to play shows up
-scramble teams or have captains pick
-test out new maps or play BBALL!

I think scrims need to be kept within the clan. That way we can think out loud and share exactly what it is we're doing all the while getting a feel for our teammates.
Also I encourage everyone taking part to get a mic. Everyone is shy at first but you'll get over it. Text communication just doesn't cut it if you really want to win.

Where is the all of the above option?

Any one of these options would be a great addition to our community, but like Leon said, if we start scrimming against other competitive clans, we'll get our asses handed to us. Our competitive / tournament teams could get a lot better, so I guess we should start with in-house scrims. Scheduling matches for all of the regulars who play on the tempest servers just isn't possible. That being said, I'm voting for pickup matches; whoever's online at the time can join up, and nobody has to sift through 8 pages of information to try to find the final match date.

NOT set rosters But set dates.

Set so like Tues Thurs Sat at 800pm is the the "Scrim Hour" if 12 show then 6 v 6 ifmore showjust divideup and play. Pick any mapand let it roll.

Having set times will avoid the I can or can not make it posts. Plus if you cant makeit tues just show up to thurs day etc.

Just let the teams roll randomly and we will learn toplay with each other better for pro matches. Seeing all the strenghs/weakness. After each scrim people can post easily in 3 difernet threads for the 3 diferent days.

Example:

Thuday scrim thread:

I noticed Blah.

We just need to pick 2 or 3 days  plus the time.

As good planning goes K-I-S-S

Pickup games? On my TF2?

I'd definitely go for something like that.

Well, Star Wars Galaxies got into a massive head on collision with a truck carrying gasoline, causing a massive explosion.
Star Wars Galaxies was then taken from the wreckage, raped, and beat the **** out of. It is now in a comatose, charred state, while on life support.
