I have two milestones - 18 pyro achievements completed. I still have no additional weapons. When do I get my flare gun? You should be more like Cantrip.  Twitchy: "I pulled a Cantrip . . ." We can help each other with the damage and kill counts. A lot of us get on one server, then just keep rushing toward one person while he flames everyone (have everyone use the backburner for the extra damage points). Yeah, there are pyro-specific achievement box maps out there where you can hose down bots without pissing off too many people. So I repeat my question, at what point do I get my godsdamn flare gun? Well, it turns out that you have to hit ESC, then go to Character Info and Setup and select the damn weapons in order to use them. -I didn't get the memo on that requirement. So, got all three. Love the flare gun, but I find myself playing pyro on maps where I normally don't play pyro, just because I can use that pea shooter to annoy the other team. That is all. Carry on. how have people gotten all the achievements? was messing about on a server with some other lads there and we could only get about half of them to work. the are really buggy. really really buggy. yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.

I have the minimum for all the weapons. 22 maybe out of 28? I went to a server that has instant respawn, god mode until you turn it off and half the blue team is populated with bots so no one is pissed off if you stand there and cook 'em as they insta-spawn. There's a pool of water too. I won't mention which it is because Whut get's butthurt if you play on anything but teh Tempest servers. You should be more like Cantrip. The flare gun actually does a decent damage hit at MUCH longer range than you can hit with the pyro shotgun. I've killed several players with a lucky hit just in two day's worth of having it. The backburner is kind of map-dependent. It's great for sneak attacks when you drop in behind guys rushing your base in 2Fort. Not so much when you're forced to hit people head-on, though. The old flamethrower with its new air blast is awesome for knocking people off of cap points, though, so I still use it more often than not. I haven't even used the new axe, since the only classes I bother using the axe on are other pyros, and they're never on fire.

the health boost is too much with the backburner. second fastest class with the second most health + all crits from the back (and lets face it, valve has some problems with the hit boxes & detection) I like that they are updating the game but I think the hp boost is too over the top. You wanna take this to Fuck Town?
