I just got home. Funding is secure, but the banks are closed today so I can't deposit. I'll be depositing the check tomorrow and ordering the parts tomorrow as well. They will arrive next week. Without going into detail, I'll have a $5,000 loan I'll need to pay off. Once the new stuff is running, your donations will really matter.

While I'm quite sure he didn't create this thread for this purpose, I think every single member registered on this forum (and even guests that haven't registered but play on the Tempest servers) should take 30 seconds and post a thank you to WDF here for the incalculable time, expense and personal work he has done to create and hold this community together through the years. Especially in light of the flak he has received, whether purposefully or just through poor wording, in some neighboring threads, every single fucking person here, {pDs} or not, owes this guy nothing but gratitude for the amazing job he's done.
For my part, never once in my life have I ever felt so tied to a community of gamers, virtually or otherwise. My TF2 playing waxes and wanes, but even after disappearing out of the country for four months, I still care about what happens here. Tiny though it is, the feeling of comradery I get when I join a game and two or three people shoot me a "Hey, what's up, Endyss?" makes me truly glad I stumbled on this, our own little tempest in the massive virtual storm. So for every post, every frag, every damn HLSTATSX point won or lost, Whut, I cannot thank you enough.
