Please reference this thread before voting: http://wdfnews.com/forums.aspx?g=posts&t=8773Basically I withdrew my support of Donkey's server because Erkdog has control over it. However, now that I've calmed down a bit and looked over the facts, I realized that I should have consulted the playerbase first. I still stand by my decision, but I'd like to see how the community feels. Perhaps I was wrong? 7 days to vote.

I don't think it's such a huge deal for an admin to do what Erk did as long as it's not regular and it's something that the current players want and it gets switched back and it's not when the server is full. E.g. doing it on temp2 would be wrong unless it was like 4am and only a handful of regulars were on and they wanted it. Where I'm hung up is that Erk has admin but he's not an admin. No offense Erk cuz I don't have any issues with you personally, but from the perspective of having a wdfnews.com branded server that just doesn't sit right with me to have someone who isn't part of the server admin team here doing adminish things. Donkey is a cool dude and I'm inclined to trust his judgement, but it still just doesn't sit right with me. I'm abstaining on this vote for now. Razor wrote:Killing people is good therapy.

Here's my biggest issue. When I addressed the server issue about Erk with Donkey, Donkey informed me that he had in fact rented said server from Erk's father, not Erk himself, and that Erk was not involved in any capacity. I know this now to be a lie.

I think, given what has been said by all and not having Donkey's testimony, that WDF's good faith was taken advantage of here. IF the terms were that Erk was to have no control of Temp 4, then that was clearly broken. That and the fact that the branded server has admins that did not get the WDF approved admin orientation. I do not think it would be wise or prudent for WDF to continue to lend his name to a server that he does not have the same control over as he does of the ones he directly administers. WDF has a responsibility to himself and to those that donate and enjoy the community he has cultivated and worked very hard to get to where it is now. Until you try to make a community, you have no idea how hard it truely is make a successful place people WANT to be a part of and make better. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

All Admins of WDFnew.com Tempest servers must answer to WDF. It's called a chain of command.
If he wants you to do the funky chickin...start learning how to cluck like one.

I just called Donkey to let him know you called him a bald faced liar, he left this girl's house and is driving home right now. I also particularly enjoy how things just keep randomly changing on your end... First Donkey told you I wouldn't execute rcon commands. And now suddenly he told you it was my dad's company and that I wasn't even involved. From the day I very first e-mailed you weeks ago, you've known that this is my company and mine alone. So if he actually DID say that to you (which he didn't) you should have known it was not true. Yargh

Somebody dropped the ball, and it wasn't on the Tempest/WDFNews end. If DonkeyPunch didn't tell you not to execute commands, he messed up. If he did and you forgot or did it anyway, then it was your mistake. Either way, the result is the same and WDFNews' faith in the reliability of the control of the server is shaken. Yeah. I just got off the phone with him. He pretty much denied everything you've been spouting. I'd recommend dropping it. He told me the only thing he gave you permission to do EVER was keep the server updated.
