Thinking about trading my Honda in and getting a sports car for under 10k$, any ideas..? or am I dreaming..

How much time do you have to work on this car? A "real" sports car for under $10k will be a fixer-upper and need a lot of time, effort, and money to get to where you really want it to be. My advice, save your money and get one when you can afford it. I drove a piece of crap Ford Probe for a few years. It was $2000 when I bought it and I did not have to put much into it. Once I graduated from college, knocked out credit card debt, and bought a house, I finally got a real car. Get out of debt first, if you are in it, that will be better than 10k on a car. The only things I pay interest on now are my house, car, and truck. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

I also agree with oopsie. Also, your criteria is a little lax. Do you want 2 seats or 4, ample trunk or not, convertible or hard top, good gas mileage or not, etc.. Edit: Even tho its hard to tell what you're looking for, I'll throw in a few suggestions...assuming you're a car guy and are mechanically inclined. Also forgive me as I'm a car freak that prefers German. I have a 2008 BMW 328i. Thought about the turbo charged 335, but I would get into too much trouble. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Shaka, what are you looking for image or power? For 10 grand you can get a sporty car, that doesn't go 0-60 in seven or less, but looks nice. Get a used eclipse or sporty mazda or soemthing.
If you actually want a fast car...well you are gonna need to do what the others suggest....fixer-uper and alot of extra love.
I personally have on order a 2009 Mini Cooper S. 6-speed Go-kart with a Turbo! Weeeeee.......
...gotta wait until october for delivery though....boooooo

I'm kinda over the whole fast and furious bs.. I've read alot about the bmw 3 series.. maybe that'll do. Thanks for all the advice and fraggin is not a crime.
