I've been frequenting Tempest 2 for quite a while now, as it seems to best serve my new found addiction to Team Fortress 2. One can only spend so long on a server before feeling like they need to be part of the team. I'm good friends with The Nerf Jihad in real life, and I think I've gotten quite friendly with Granimal and whoever else usually benefits from my random heals.

I like to play support/defense mostly, as I get bored easily with the offense classes (though I also think engineer is really boring). I think it's more fun to take huge risks by sniping out in the open or putting the ubersaw to good use, though sometimes the risks prove to be too risky even for me. I'm usually the first to die, but I think even serving as a distraction is an honorable skill. Kill to death ratio is entirely dependent on the class I play, the amount of sleep I've had, and how bored I am. Overall I like to think I'm a decent sniper, risky medic, vicious heavy, and asshole demoman. My definition of teamwork is coordination with the occasional, "LOOK OUT MARIO JUST JUMPED FROM THE SHADOWS WIELDING AN UBERSAW AND OWNED THAT SOLDIER LOL."

I like trash talk just as much as anyone, but I try to keep it on a joking tone. I figure if Valve gave the characters such a wide range of taunts, I might be entitled to a couple "CRY SOME MOAR" of my own. I'll shut up if someone tells me to. Newbs I feel have to be dealt with on a case by case basis, but I default to just being friendly. Hackers I usually don't know what to do with. I've come across many aimbotting snipers, and my first response is, "Damn, I wish I was that good."

I got the nickname "MarioMario" from when I used to drive myself to and from school, bringing my portable GPS with me so that it wouldn't get stolen via being left in the car. I made the mistake once of showing it off to my friends, who obviously could not afford one, and I was immediately tagged as "MarioMario" after those stupid tomtom commercials and because my first name is Mario.

I read the rules and I think I understand them, but I guess it will be up to you guys to determine how well I did.

(Honestly, I'm just as confused as you are. Pie would be lovely, but just keep killing the other team and you'll do fine - and get to know the people on the boards - we are cool people....mostly).

Sometimes I think I do, given some of the bad jokes people use my name in (what would possess someone to think that I actually have a brother named Luigi?).

But I will admit that it eliminates some confusion in-game when people naturally call me by my first name.
