having just reformatted my laptop and reinstalling all my damn programs, I got to wondering....what do other people install on a fresh machine? soo....list your essential/favorite programs you *need* mine in no particular order: -firefox -spybot s&d -pidgin -ccleaner -avg/avast -vlc -photoshop (latest version, when i can get it) -blender -7zip -daemon tools -divx/xvid -quicktime -autopatcher your turn! gogogo! On this crippled internets-surfing machine, just Seamonkey - an offshoot of the Firefox browser project. I also like the Bubbles game which came with the Puppy Linux OS. On the gaming rig, Steam, Windows Movie Maker, Audacity and Avast!. On the laptop, Adobe Professional, Firefox, Google Earth, Garmin Trainer and Active ISO Burner. You should be more like Cantrip. Azureus/Vuze. Google Desktop on my work machine. Paint.net is nice, usually winds up on my machines. OpenOffice and/or AbiWord, I don't think I have either on there at the moment cuz I've been using GoogleDocs instead recently. FilZip. Tor w/Firefox plugin. IETab plugin. Google SketchUp (free 3D imaging program compatible with google Earth)
Google Earth (for looking at my house from a satelite yay free google software!)
