Not at all. Just funny how people get so angry when their politician of choice has their true colors brought to light. If you support John McCain and/or George W. Bush, please click here.“I would like to say to Milton and Anna: Regarding the Great Depression. You're right, we did it. We're very sorry. But thanks to you, we won't do it again.” - Ben Bernanke

Even more entertaining when democrats are completely ignorant to their politicians true colors.

You fail to see my point. FIrst off Mc Cain isn't my homeboy, and neither is Obama. I'm "angry" over watching yet another shitty anti McCain/Obama video made by some amateur. I'm sorry, but when deciding whether or not Mc Cain is the right guy, the last thing I (the voter) should care about is if he slipped up on some speeches or answered some interview questions inconsistently. Nobody's true color is being shown here because nothing of real value was discussed in the video. get your ass to mars

The thing that I saw and remember most about the video, is how he talks about taxes. He is for the cut, then against the cut. Then for the cut, then against the cut. The republicans talk about flip flopping for years, and then they do it. He talks about Obama and taxes, but he doesn't seem to have a grasp on what he wants to do. In fact, I like how McCain is trying to emulate his campaign after Obama. "Change".
The whole thing about the armor part and the general not wearing it is out of context here a bit. It was about how the surge worked and it's so much safer there (as i recall it going) and McCain said the general not wearing armor, but then the news said he does wear armor, which defeats the argument that perhaps Iraq isn't quite as safe as the republicans make it seem.
SO...
The info is there. I'm not talking about misquotes. Really only that one part mentioned any misquotes - about al qaeda training terrorist. It's the other information that I like better and why I posted the video.
Murdy also has a point that it's the little things that help paint the bigger picture.
If you want real value, then you won't find it watching McCain's speeches. He talks a lot, but never says how he is going to get things done, except drilling off shore for oil and building nuclear powerplants.
It seems to me that a lot of people buy into people talking about what they are going to do but have no sustenance behind it. Obama has plans and talks about how he is going to achieve them. More on his site. McCain did post a tax plan, but the interesting part, is his tax plan will be higher than Obama, so how can he keep saying he is going to lower tax and Obama will raise tax?
Not sure how accurate this is, but it's a neat thing to play with. http://alchemytoday.com/obamataxcut/
McCain also went on to say and mention Reagan. But if I recall, Reagan DID lower taxes - then raised them six times to make up for it.
Sorry you didn't like the amateur video.

No politician ever comes out and says what he will do. Obama said in his interview that the reason he won't get specific is he does not want to tip his hand. Why can't McCain be doing the same thing. I like how you quoted Jimmy Carter, probably the worst President we have ever had? Remember the gas shortage? The sky high interest rates? The Iranian hostage situation and the embarrassing rescue attempt? If you want credibility then don't quote him.

I'm not one to state my political standpoint very often.....but this I will say
I'm not for McCain, and from watching that video, he fucks up what he says more than Bush. He goes back, slams Bush hoping people will vote for him just because he states he does'nt like Bush, but I find it funny that people dig up photos with McCain and Bush being buddybuddy. Its very popular to slam Bush, even though half the time its saying the same garbage everyone else has been saying for years. Yes. We have a retard as a President, but dont vote for the Retard who's friends with the current retard......you know what I'm saying.
I'm not for Obama either. His strategy is the same democrats used for YEARS, and thats to slam Republicans. No person running for President has what it takes, and I dont mean to quote Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, but "Any leader that has to ask and be voted in for Power does'nt deserve it" not word for word, but you know what I mean. We get the point. All Republicans are Evil. But the Democrats have not shown us why they are no different. If you have to constantly say "were gonna change" it wont fucking happen. Its like a man beating his wife, and keeps repeating "I'm gonna change". No change comes from stating that it will happen. Only change that comes is from everything we cant avoid or prevent from happening.
And thats the last time I say something about politics. Winning a political argument is like winning a pissing contest. You won, but it still smells like urine.

No, that would be Bush. Both of them
And the quote isn't about Carter, or how I feel about him. It's just funny he thinks that McCain always talks about his being a PoW, no matter what the question. As if he deserves to be President because of it.
Guy - "So how was your dinner?"
McCain - "You know when I was a PoW, we didn't have dinner"
Guy - "So how was your day? Good, I hope?"
McCain - "You know when I was a PoW, we didn't have good days"
You get the idea.
All I'm saying is that we need to change how we've done things as a country. First, we were all pissed off about Bush rather stealing the election, being the first President to be appointed by the US Supreme Court, who has members that decided the outcome placed on the Court by his dad. Nevermind that. Point is, many people were pissed by it.
So to change things, what do we do? We vote him in office the next time.
Now we've had eight years of this. EIGHT. People are pissed! What is it? Like 24% approval rating? Don't tell me you are one of those few. The lobbyists, etc. Forget that. Point is, we all agree Bush is a horrible President in at least one way or another. I mean, most of the world agrees.
So how do we change it this time? Voting for someone who thinks very highly of Bush, voted with him over 91% of the time, supports his plans, etc etc etc etc? I think maybe it's time for a change. The change, would be a democratic option. Sorry there isn't another option.
But, you know, it doesn't sound so bad. People bad mouth Clinton, but that's mostly republicans, or democrats (or independants) who don't follow politics, or just rather believe the republican slander, or... whatever. Not important. The point there, is that most of the world liked Clinton. He was not a bad President. Compared to both Bush Presidents? You cannot say, and keep a straight face, that he was worse.
So you have a bad (or two) republican President(s), and a good democrat President --
McCain preaches the same thing as Bush did too. The whole republican party - Fear.
Clinton said waaay before this (Gore campaign I think?) that if you have one candidate preaching hope and another preaching fear, you better vote for hope. I dont know about you, but I'd rather choose the candidate preaching hope and who is in a party that has more good for America and the world than trying to line his pockets with money.
I might also add that as a person, I like McCain. I feel bad for him being a PoW. I don't like how he treated his ex-wife, but that's not my concern. But, generally speaking, I like the guy. He can be funny. Loved his "Bomb Iran" song parody. I do not like his politics, however.

1) Obama has never played the race card. In fact, he doesn't like it. His critics seem to agree.

For the person who said that Carter was the worst president ever........................If you ever say something that stupid again you deserve to run out in the street and get run over by cancer. Now.......I wonder if "POW" has replaced "9/11" as the new catchphrase for the republican party....... As Dean said, "One act does not make a presidency, although McCain sure likes to think so." I would also like to point out that McCain was a bad pilot, even according to his own biography...."The planes he was flying crashed twice and once collided with power lines, but he received no major injuries." Anyway.....this argument is all completely irrelevent.....it doesn't matter that he was a POW, nor does it matter that Obama played (Or didn't play) the race card. Obama and McCain are the same person in most important aspects.......They both support the continuation of the U.S. hegemonic empire, which is one of the two viable worldwide issues which matter. Yeah, I guess you can only understand those people with half a brain....us full brained people use far to complicated sentences for you to understand. Besides, repeating what people with only 1/2 a brain say is not a good idea. It might also be good to, you know, actually look up and understand why people say that as opposed to just repeating the bullshit that's fed to you from the pundits on either side.
