Just FYI. I got a call from our datacenter today saying we're pushing 4 times the bandwidth we're paying for at the moment. We're negotiating a new plan, but in the mean time I may have to close some servers down.

Well seeing as how a few of the servers are always empty... Whatever you do don't touch Tempest #2.

I usually see folks on 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9 and Trenchfoot 1... not so much 3 and 8 or trench 2, Crypt, (although I think some of us were on it recently and remembered how much fun it was) or Abyss or Breeding Grounds.

I say axe #3 custom maps, #8 and #9. Maybe #4 as well. Dustbowl and Badwater and goldrush are way to popular to axe. I'm the leetest one here

Business, I'm with you.. I have the best ping on #9 and primarily play 2fort.. would sadden me to see it go away, but I understand the need for consolidation... don't like it, but we're not payin the bills ourselves.. Anyhow. I think keeping 1-4 is the most reasonable thing to do, and just re-designate them (except 2) to run goldrush and some of the most popular maps. And since most of the servers were being doubly utilized, i.e. port 27015 and 27016, could it not be the same with 1-4? This would give 8 options with 4 servers.. right?
