Hot dang, I used to love to play the Need For Speed series. Hot Pursuit 2 was the most racing fun I ever had on the PS2. Then the Underground series came out and it all went to shit.

Well look out Mr. Racing Game Fanatic, this November EA is going to whack you upside the head with another installment to their famous franchise;
NEED FOR SPEED: UNDERCOVER

You're welcome to watch the teaser videos if you like, but you'll probably look at it and wonder how this game is supposed to differ from Most Wanted. My gut feeling is that it's the exact same game, just with a new interface and a new set of tracks. Oh, and half of the police cars are brand new Nissan GTR's, like that's supposed to entice you.

I mean yeah, Most Wanted was kinda fun. The only problem is that like the other games released in the last 5 years, EA only puts one year on the development clock, which means you're not going to see anything that could be considered innovative, impressive, or complete. Lords of capitalism help us if we actually see an EA game this year that seems complete. Despite that EA was starting to go in the right direction with Most Wanted, it was still hardly an exception to the rules of the recent installments of the Need For Speed series.

So here we are with a Most Wanted clone that looks like it handles worse than it's predecessor. I can only hope that this is the game that ends up costing EA more to develop than it makes it sales, causing them to consider tacking on an extra 12 months to the development of their next bag of shit.

EA is heavier in publishing than actually making the games.
