I passed my hunter's safety class this week (which explains a bit why I haven't been online much - I have been busy dammit!). However, it means that I can no legally hunt (as soon as I get my license which is a mere formality at this point). Oh, and I discovered that I'm an excellent markswoman with a rifle and an alright shot with a bow and arrow. I really enjoyed the compound bow. Don't ask me to hit the broadside of a barn with a shotgun though - I'm a terrible shot. You really need a shotgun for the best hunting...that being duck & goose. I love those wild birds. Have you ever cleaned a deer or other large game(or seen it done)? If not that's the thread I'll really be looking forward to. Also do you prefer to hunt with the flamethrower or the rocket launcher?

Doves and Phesant. You get to bring a dog...walk around and enjoy yourself, and its challenging. Most fun I have hunting. I hate sitting in treestands waiting for deer...then having to lug them back to a truck. Quote:

I always had a problem feeding deer in one place all year long, then when it is legal, sit in a blind and blast the one you want when it comes to eat at the same place it has probably years before it got big enough. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

*Sigh* It's like talking to crawdad. Just because I CAN hunt doesn't mean that I WILL hunt. I still like fuzzy animals - live ones, that is. I got my permit basically to help crawdad with training the dogs. He goes bird hunting (and yes, we have prepared the few birds that he has killed) and here is his post about that (and the dogs, Lead).

I've been thinking about getting a Jack Russell Terrier in the future for this reason.

Cecil and I both own this brittney, named Algernon.. He actually has some english setter in him from a couple generations back so he is alot bigger than your average brittany. About as big as a Labrador. Great bird dog. Quote:

I'm hoping you meant two bowls, not bowels. Two bowels would mean twice the poo. And he's adorable. Those are some very sad doggie eyes. I wuv him! Belligerent Pimp wrote: The Man Society just suspended my man card for a week for getting rickrolled by Mrs. Mary Midwestern Housewife.
