So since I've already spent far too much money investing in a PC that smoothly runs TF2, I thought I might as well pimp the sucker out. I found an incredible deal on a 1TB hard drive and I would like to make it my slave drive. However, I'm not all that certain as to how I set it up and if it will even do what I'd like it to do. I'd like the bulk of my things (music, pictures, files, etc) in the slave drive while the master drive runs my games, minor programs and internet needs.
So please, technical gurus, would any of you be kind enough to help a girl out? :D Many thanks!

IDE or SATA? If sata should just be able to plug it in and have it show up. Only thing to make sure of is that it isn't set to be the primary boot device in the BIOS. It'll probably show up as the E: or F: drive in my computer.

Another OS will not be necessary. It should store it just fine.

I am not sure if this was answered right but yes you can add it just fine, make sure that you have the jumpers set properly, and that the BIOS is set to secondary or slave.
