Alright, I hate to agree with Erk on anything....but what is the benefit of having the Fake Slot on our servers? Basically, all it means is that your regulars have to spend time refreshing instead of letting it autoconnect, unless theres more to it than I've been told. I was refreshing for 10 minutes tonight before I gave up and went to play on another server. It may not hurt pug population, but it certainly hurts the regulars. Basically, just why are we using it, what benefit does it give, and is that benefit worth annoying people who WANT to play on our server, as opposed to pugs. Suffers from the acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency — nay — the very existence of George W. Bush

It allows us to keep all 32 normal slots open so the servers can have 16 on 16 games. It isn't soley for ease of connection for our reserved slotters. If I were to remove the plugin and go back to the standard that we used to use we'd have to drop the slots to 30 with 2 slots open. I like being able to run our servers at full throttle.

Yeah, running them full throttle may be nice, but would having those two extra slots/people make the game more fun? I mean, 2 less people means more space to operate in, which in my book is a good thing, particularly on the cap maps if you ever want to get past the first cap...... Maybe I can repost with a poll, if other people are tired of having to sit refreshing the list every couple seconds for 10+ minutes.
