I am OCD about washing my cars.  I will spend 3 hours on the exterior trying to eliminate every water spot and polishing the wax twice or three times.

Very nice!  Good looking car there!

Absolutely. It's makes me tingly to see it after hearing about it for so long. Oh the joys of ordering the exact car you want. I want my next car to be a special order...and do a Euro delivery.

Giller, get the Mr. Clean auto-dry carwash. I bought one for the auto-dry part. It has a PUR filter on it so you get no water spots. Also, hows the new car? I expect a full report w/ more pics.

Sadly, that hard water filter is only good for one, maybe 2 uses where I live.  I still use the unit for convenient on/off water, but still do the bucket thing.

Beautiful car and wonderful attention to detail, but to a fault.  Could you imagine being married to a person like that?  If he applied that to all facets of his life, I would imagine him being quite and unhappy person.

Yeah, extreme.

I wax every time i wash my cars.  Mostly this was a habit developed because my Lancer is a true black car.  Black looks absolutely beautiful when you have it completely clean and mirror finished.  But it is high maintainance because it also looks the worst when you don't wash it or you wash it poorly.  I have never been able to find a rinse product that made a washing a black car easy.  I have always had to wax it afterwords to remove water marks and additional grime.  I have blacked out tinted windows on it as well...so I can't even get away with water spots on the glass.

Sad thing about washing your cars so closely is that its depressing because you notice every tiny new rock chip or gouge on the front end every week or two and there is nothing you can do about it.

This is after I already pulled the back wheel off to take out the old bearings. Aside from those, a slightly loose pedal chain, and faulty headlight wiring, this thing runs perfectly. I am so pumped to get it back in working order..
