wow, blockbuster over an awesome job with whut.. you take the cake sir.

Agreed. FYI, some of the best jobs you find are through connections. Seriously look at everybody you know and see what they could offer you. I'm not saying ask your uncle for a handout, but maybe someone could point you in the right direction. My last resort would also be military, I'd prolly choose Navy or Air Force. The other option is law enforcement. At least something with hope for resume building/promotion.

Retail is a dead end road, especially Blockbuster. Seriously, Netflix, downloads, Cable TV, etc., have all taken a huge chunk out of their profits. Don't ask me tho, look at the10 year chart of their stock price ($30 back in '02, trading at $1.40 today). Prediction, they'll try to go internet, but their operating costs are simply too high to stay in business. Just wait, the shit will hit the fan fir BBI within the year. As a new employee, you'd be the first to take the hit.

As predicted....

Blockbuster's Stock Nosedives On News It Is Investigating Bankruptcy

Blockbuster's stock just dropped 79% this afternoon after Bloomberg published a story that said the company hired the firm Kirkland & Ellis "to evaluate restructuring options, including a possible pre-packaged bankruptcy." Blockbuster says they've only hired the firm for "refinancing and capital raising initiatives," and that they do not intend to file for bankruptcy.

I'll be doing a different internship now, this one's in Seattle so it'll be easier. Except it's related to computer science rather than physics. I've been thinking about switching majors anyway, so if this turns out to be fun I probably will.

It's an internship program for community college students, run by the DOE. I found it via google on a desperate bid to find work.
