good luck. We did have some teams back a year or so ago. I did some organization for a while and it was like herding a bunch of feral cats. After two rounds (7x7 and Highlander) I had to pass it off to JamesBigmac. See his post above. Most people that have wanted to be more regularly competitive (e.g. Leon) have moved onto other groups. Frankly, I prefer the group of feral cats that is pDs to most competitive groups. Most people that are committed to being on a team and playing regularly are way too serious about it for my tastes. One group that comes to mind that is rabidly into competition is TF2F. They are organized and have a core of committed players -- and they usually kicked our butts when we played. I would suggest, just trying to fine 6 people, that are on the same day, at the same time. Then you could scrim once a week, and you could get something going. Noobina, dark, and I lead our competitive, so we would love to help you guys out, and give you tips where you are. Even if you have skilled pub players, it will be tough at the beginning, because you guys won't know how to compete together. Just send us a message for scrims, and we will give you guys hints on what your lineup should be, and what not. Digweed (or leon and you "people" call him) has a team too, he has helped us out also. I wouldn't be so weary of competitive teams, CMS competes, but we aren't supper serious at all. A lot of teams are pretty nice, the teams we have came across have been pretty cool, and helpful. I think there is a myth of "people that like to compete are wayyyy to serious". Yeah, some are, but there are plenty of people that compete, that are chill. I think you can still compete, and have an active pub. You don't have to become a clan that only competes. Though it does help to have a competition server, and things like that. Anywho, my conversation with Muff prior to discovering that I was actually vouching for a competitive team in the one clan not exactly hell bent on the idea, was more or less about having "a dedicated group who we can do stuff with on a moments notice". Super Penguin tried this, K_Buz tried it: seemingly everyone who's been here long enough knows someone who's tried to push that envelope here. I know this from experience and even got close to the guys in CMS for this same reason.
What I would prefer knowing is who's interested in various games, so we can team up and do stuff (TF2, L4D, Starcraft; whatever). The only thing I can see working in this kind of situation is a simple steam group. If possible, I'd like to use Super Penguins group for all this since it's a bit stupid having 50 million groups made by different folks in the same clan doing the same things...unless, y'know...we like networking like that. =P Dangit 12, thats what I was saying. Maybe I said it wrong. Sorry dude. Yes, I'd like a semi-coherent group of people who'll band together to play as a team. ...is that better? Hey, you guys should scim us tonight or tomorrow, I won't be on tonight, cuz i am flying back, but we are suppose to have a match tonight, but i don't think the team is going to show. so we could scrim, if you don't have the people, we could prolly get a pug going or something. Just to start you guys off. [CMS]defiance - Steam: defiance018 - Xfire: defianceoby - www.constantmayhem.com

We could use my "Penguin Public Alert Squad" Group if you guys want, but I think it would be better to make a new one. I don't believe you can change the name of a group, so it wouldn't make sense for a competitive group to have a silly name such as PenPAS.
