I finally managed to read the whole manga this weekend. I will admit it got a 'Yikes!' out of me. I'm extremely claustrophobic so, yep, it struck a chord. I think Horror may be one of those things that needs to be tailored specifically for some people. Frostbite is a good example of that: gore seems to disturb him (I'm saying this because of his reference to BME). Gore doesn't disturb me; it's a part of my life, so I'm dissensitized (once you've seen some poor bastard who cut himself in two with a chainsaw, nothing gory ever really phases you again, lol). However, the thought of something as simple and innocent as a hole in a mountain having some power that managed to summon me to it even though it was emenating the very aura of my worst fears then, yeah, I'm a little disturbed by that.
