Tips on how to hit a deer:

Due to the forward momentum of the car and the downward slope of the hood as you stop (as Muff was talking about), if you KNOW you are going to hit a deer and cannot avoid it (and swerving is actually more dangerous than hitting the sucker), you should let off your brakes at the last second so that the hood has time to come back up, hitting the deer with the grill rather than scooping up the deer onto the hood and possibly into the cab of the car.

Just sayin'.

Thanks Mrs. C. I'll try to remember that counter-intuitive advice in that split second before I hit the deer that surprised me.

I'm sorry, but it wasn't strong. You set up the joke but it had no oomph! You need to follow through with something that was topical but non-sequitur enough to make me lol. :P

I'm sorry Mr. Joke Theory 101. But you did originally say "without humor", not "is slightly humorous but lacking" (Someone please defend my joke, I hope it wasn't a waste of time looking up the proper spelling of DeLorean).

I didn't say don't break. I said let up on the brake so the deer has less of a chance of coming through your windshield.

Of course, the two times that I have been hit by a deer, one took off my rear bumper and the other rolled down the side of my car.

Those silly deer! What are they going to do with a car bumper?
