I understand what you're saying and I agree with you and charcol that it is a matter of interpretation. One man's racism is another's legit ethnic comedy but ask your self this. Are the Mexicans who make up much of the supporting cast fairly portrayed in the movie? Do you think they were justly depicted? Well do you? If you're answer come even remotely close to being no, then you will get my point. I don't mind being the but of a joke but you make one about my race, my people, and you're not mexican, you better make DAMN sure you don't cross the line.
Edit: You didn't offend me Turbo, you're cool.

I completely understand where your coming from, and i'm not one to take racism lightly. If me and my budds are messing around, i could care less what they say about my race, but if i heard someone else make a comment, it would make me mad.
Maybe I didn't notice it cause I was laughing and what not. But on a side note, My friend, and i think his whole family went to see it(and they happen to be hispanic) They didn't mention anything about racism, maybe they didn't notice it either, or maybe they didn't want to say anything about it. Either way, I guess the movie was sent out some mixed intentions, and I think we should end this thread before it gets out of hand. lol jp jp!â„¢

I thought it was funny. It is the same type of humor as Napoleon Dynamite. I didn't really see anything in regards to racism, what was there exactly? {pDs} Lead Salad: bike why did you change your name Jessica343: so I can get heals {pDs} Lead Salad: oh damn good idea {pDs} Lead Salad has changed their name to {pDs} Lead Salad (is a girl) Jessica343: hahah

We don't have to end the thread, we're just having a civilized discussion. I went to this movie along side with my dad and brother. My dad happens to be from the exact same area where they filmed the movie and after it ended I could see he was offended. It pissed me off, that's why I made this thread to express my thoughts and feelings. I don't think we should hide from the this, it would serve us more to come to the forefront with an honnest and open discussion.
