yesterday was only like the second time since he opened the server that i played. i haven't played since he opened it in the very begining so i have no idea what the map cycles have been. like i said earlier, i don't care what he does with the map cycle, i just think i can spend my time and resources better if i know that certain maps are going to be used. the sooner i finish all the ports (which might be sooner rather then later), i can start on a new one from scratch.

how about instead of having them as the numbers, why not use the f-keys or the numpad numbers? it may be too confusing to use the numpad numbers so why not use the f-keys? that way ppl can play with the window up until and still be able to switch weapons w/out voting unintentionally? also, CTF doesn't have nearly as many noobs on it so i dont see that having to push the esc key as a hinderance to the voting scheme. people know... people know... and yesterday we were voting all day with no problems. one problem i find is that while i am playing the timer disappears after like 15 seconds and if i didn't know to type vote, i would miss out and so would the rest of the voters who could have used my vote to push it into a valid vote count. maybe we could extend the length of the esc function or announce the vote command like we do that spawn camping gets us the boot so people who aren't tomb regs could be more effective in the voting process.

i believe the voting programs are pre set with what buttons you vote with. i don't think you can change them, but if you could, the F keys sounds like a good idea as long as they also aren't set as shortcut keys. maybe another idea is to make the "ITS TIME TO VOTE...." sound play before the vote starts.
