Or limiting the ammo for certain weapons like we did with the orbs.  How about 1 rocket max per launcher on Warpath and Avanti?  Those two maps seem to be the biggest laggers.

bedroom warfare lags just because the size of the map.  most rat size maps have that issue because the level is so big and everything in sight needs to be rendered.  so most peoples computers will have lower fps.  there is nothing you can do about that map.

as for making pedistal double the size.  its not worth any mappers time to do that to a pointless map.  there are limited mappers in this community anyway, so i say spend your time making worthwile maps.

avanti and warpath both have the same issue.  they are large scale maps.  they are fairly open which causes the clients to have to render more on their end.  also with all the noobs using rockets in that map, the clients have to render that much more information.  i do think limiting the rockets on that map would help a bit, but i think it would push too many people away from playing those levels.  i would rather deal with a little lag and play with a full server then have no lag with half a server on avanti and warpath.

here is a suggestion to you all.  if you are experiencing lag, just turn down your graphics settings.  i bet the lag you experience is client based.  if you turn down the graphics on your computer it can render everything faster and your lag will probably go away.

Lowering the graphics settings doesn't do anything for me. I get the same fps as when its on high.
