all's well in gnardom.... cept my internet fucking lags like whoa... anyone know why this might be? it is only like web browsing as i can download files are breakneck speeds still. if i iron out this last issue, i think i may actually be better off than i was before! yaya!

are you getting packet loss? do you have a firewall? have you tried firefox? (if so, is the slowness in firefox also? or IE only?). Razor wrote:Killing people is good therapy.

it seems to be across the board. i dont have a PC firewall but their's one on my router. the problem seems to be better now that im back at my apartment at school but it still isn't quite as fast as it should be. How do i know if i am getting packet loss? and how do i fix it?

Try to power cycle you dsl or cable modem and power cycle your router if you have one. I started doing that to mine and and i get a little performance out of mine, and i dont get the packet loss anymore either. And i power cycle mine about once a week, you wont need to do that but i do it for mine. Do you know if you lan is work right try to reintall you lan connection and see if that will help. i switched to jumbo frames and it seems to be making things better. but i dont know if hl2dm is any better. i'll let youknow...
