Do you consider yourself a well educated or intelligent person? If so then I advise you to revise your self-estimation downward as your reading comprehension is atrocious. Here is a helpful hint: "thread" is not a synonym for "comment". Razor wrote:Killing people is good therapy.

Yes, i do find myself to be an intelligent person. The fact that I'm only 16 and I'm holding my own on this "THREAD" would lead m,e to believe this.
And maybe the fact that i have a 4.0 in the 8th ranked school on the east coast may lead to to believe i am smart.

book smarts != true intelligence. Always remember that. Also school rankings mean fucking squat. at a better school you have better teachers, more learning resources, higher teacher to student ratio and a much larger emphasis and pressure placed on you to do well. so, really, it's easier to do well at a good school then a crap school. It's the guy or girl who gets a 4.0 at shittest school in the slum who should get the respect. if you were really that "intelligent" you'd realise that. yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.

I'm sorry but that is in no way true.
First off, the better teacher part is false, the average public school teacher gets paid more than at my school. So I'm assuming the better teachers go there.
And as for the grades, i have a 4.5 at the public schools... I live in Philly, they are not pretty schools if you know what i mean, then i got a scholarship to this school and my grades dropped because i have to do 2 times the amount of work, or more. so please... don't believe that crap i get it all the time... its in no way true. or at least not in my situation

fair enough if you got the 4.5 at the public school, that's certainly a good achievement. but still, if that's how you think you're in for a massive wake up call someday. yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.

How do you figure?
You have no idea what i have experienced.
Any ways, how does this have anything to do with this thread? It's like the never ending changing magical thread.

but i can understand what you are saying here. if you equate intelligence with being able to perform well in an academic situation you're wrong. trust me. i of all people know. and if you want to go back on topic, fair enough, but you brought it up. yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.

Well, lets think of it this way, I have a high GPA and I grew up in a low class area, I managed to work through it, allot of stuff that I own I bought, my comp, my skis, my bike...
I paid over 1,000 dollars to train 5 days a week, all of which I worked for while still managing to do well in school. Thats all I need to say.
I may live in a the suburbs now but I still carried the lessons.

My wifes grandfather is the only survivor on that side of her family. Nazis killed his parents, siblings, uncles, cousins, etc. He still breaks down into tears because of it. My grandfather's brother's family was locked in a house which was then set on fire by Nazis, while he was away serving in the Russian army. And about this thread: How about you all stop bitching and get along.. please. You know its out of hand when you start arguing the relevance of GPA's. Bike wrote:I like to make werewolf movies.

dragon...if this is real that is pretty cool. i love historic artifacts...it just means alot to me to see a part of history.
as for me...my grandfather was an excellent medic in world war two. he raided several museums and got strands of german medals....dating from the 1870's to world war one iron crosses. he also got nazi war medals and ribbons and other things. i think this is extrememly awesome.
as for my grandfather...he was extremly brave...he got over 4 bronze stars. hes the reason why i am very interested in these things.

a medic for what side?
I find WW2 things very interesting also. Its a shame my grandfather died last year because I became increasingly interested in WW2 after his death. I couldve learned a lot. I was looking through his logs and he survived 9 fucking malaria attacks which is why he was sent home. I was very impressed. He said he drove a tank and was in Anzio. The only real time he talked about it was when he lived in my house. I was only about 9 or 10 at the time so that stuff didnt really interest me. Now I wish I could talk to him about what he did and such. Cantrip wrote:When I die, I want to be reincarnated as a woman's jogging bra.
