Since I have the same IP as Nova, I would vote Yes for unmodded  I have been hearing/reading all of you saying/typing, "If it ain't broken, Don't fix it." Well well ... I'd say there is a problem if the server average population is 0.2/28. I think you guys should try unmodded. Ya..ya...ya..800 other servers that are unmodded...but if you keep it a friendly atmosphere, It will be unique! .. And that's to say if anyone will ever go on it since I always see it empty on my Xfire. Even as a Nookie, when the Crypt was first put back up, I played it almost everyday for 2 hours with Nova, Turbo, Bike, and sometimes llenta, aka noob . All of you are welcome to the Playhouse, (DM CTF mostly) or the Dogghouse (DM mostly) to experience that unmodded is as fun as modded. If you guys eventually want it to be modded..I believe you need to attract people first..since apparently its not working right now. Start off with unmodded. JUST TRY IT FOR ONCE, and quit being so stubborn to try new things . You guys also need to practice unmodded..with all of those tourneys going on. BTW, DM CTF Tourney starts really soon. It's 6v6 so I dont know if you have that many active people still. Nookie will always be willing to scrim you if you guys want..maybe show you a few tricks to the trade. Myself, will be willing to help everyone learn Bunnyhopping. I have taught a few Nookies and even Nova! . Hit me up on Xfire, thebroom, and I will be willing to teach anyone that wants to put the effort forth to learn it. This helps a great deal with settings on the Crypt if its modded still so you can fly like an eagle. Thanks for your time! broom

I believe in the old school of the crypt. Leave it modded , there is(was) 850 unmodded servers out there and they don't live up to what the crypt offers. I don't play for competition, I play to unwind, to have fun and crypt has it.
I would like to see a small dm server though , especially late at night when ppl like me play and everyone else is in bed.

For Christ's sake, it's like this clan has ADD. This topic is about the Crypt, not about showing people up with a bunch of tiny bullshit posts with no backing whatsoever. Back on topic, I would have to agree with WDF?, and even though I originally supported an unmodded Crypt, I do believe that opening a smaller server unmodded would do well for the skill of this clan, which obvious does need some help. However, after viewing the response it seems like some people are just unwilling to change. Before pouring money into this matter, let us take a vote of how many people would utilize and unmodded HL2DM server to practice with. Small steps are the key to making things work. Nova, this was a great plan, and do not lose heart in your cause, as you were also the person who first suggested a smaller, unmodded HL2DM server. :) I myself would support an unmodded server with attendance to some practices if it will help the clan. I will also join the Crypt occasionally. -elf

The only changes I think are needed on crypt is to equal the damage on the mag and crossbow. That means lower the damage slightly on the xbow and raise the damage on the mag. Now I know Whut is going to slap me for saying this, but yes, there needs to be new sounds added. The sounds could portions of "cool" songs or short "phrases". Nite has done a pretty good job with the sounds on the Tomb.
The rest of the weapon mix is pretty good. 1 orb is right on the money and rpg's that aren't overly powerful keep people from camping.

read em and weep whitey, i got 3 aces.no hating, only congratulating. Maybe nite could script up some cool rocket jumping. that would be awesome for maps like 2fort and well and warpath. Oh man what if the shotties secondary fire could lob a grenade...Hah I've been on about that forever. I'd actually like to see the bow be 1 point less than lethal so that you could finish with the pistol. Like maybe a bow hit could set a players health to 1. just a dead horse beater is all You wanna take this to Fuck Town?
